A Fascinating Marriage with the Colonel

Chapter 3 - Better Not Appear before Me

Chapter 3 Better Not Appear before Me
Outside the car, two lines of soldiers stood upright, eyes fixed on the chief’s vehicle and ready to stop anyone from getting close.

Adjutant Li, with a gun in his belt and his hands on his hips, walked around outside the car.

The windows and curtains were so shut that people outside the vehicle wouldn’t know what they were doing inside.

Adjutant Li thought, “What are they doing inside? Colonel Ling finally knows about love?”

Well, it took so long before Colonel Ling got to know about love. If the time was long, then everything was fine; if the time was short, then there would be a problem.

Just as Adjutant Li had all sorts of dirty thoughts, the door suddenly opened, and a callous voice from inside shouted, “Get out!”

Qin Shu was given a hard push, and she bumped into Adjutant Li.

Adjutant Li held her reflexively.

The next second, he felt two cold eyes sweeping over. He lifted up his eyes and saw Ling Mohan glaring at his hands on Qin Shu. It seemed that Ling wanted to cut them off with the glare!

Adjutant Li let go of his hands in fright.

He must be jealous. But it seemed that he was uninterested in this woman, otherwise he wouldn’t have demanded her to get out.

Ling Mohan roughly pulled the collar of his uniform and coldly stared at Adjutant Li, “You are waiting for me to invite you to get on?”

Adjutant Li shivered but immediately saluted and shouted, “Right now, sir!”

All the soldiers also boarded their vehicles. Soon a line of military vehicles pulled away in front of Qin Shu, in the opposite direction from the military industry group.

Bastard, better not appear before me!

Qin Shu stood in situ, rubbing her wrists that ached due to the handcuffs. She cursed Ling Mohan again to vent the anger.

She was on her way to work when seeing Ling Mohan get off his military vehicle.

At that moment, she just couldn’t bear it anymore. Three years of pent-up grievance and anger erupted. Without a second thought, she threw at him the bottle of mineral water that she hadn’t finished.

Qin Shu shrugged and decided to leave it all behind. Putting on the smile and humming a tune, she went to work.

In fact, Qin Shu had interned for over 15 days in the No.1 Military Industry Group but never knew who was in charge of the group and what he looked like.

An intern like her has no chance to meet such a big shot. She only heard that he was a powerful officer who seldom came to the group and often left the matters to those inferior to him.

So far, Qin Shu had gathered zero piece of information about him. Sometimes, she felt quite curious.

Her colleagues were all tight-lipped. No one told her anything about the CEO. She couldn’t even find any information on the Internet either. Obviously, the CEO must be someone important.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to take charge of a military industry group, which had a lot to do with the national defense and military strength!

The next morning, when Qin Shu was looking up information, her boss called her and shouted over the phone, “Qin Shu, get your ass to my office!”

The phone was hung up before Qin Shu asked why.

She tensed up. Something went wrong with the military document translated by her?

It was said that the CEO would personally review the translation. If something really went wrong, she would hardly pass the probation review.

Qin Shu hurriedly took the elevator to the top floor.

On the top floor were the offices of the leaders of the military industry group. Qin Shu arrived but was stopped at the door by her boss Lin Xian.

“What’s wrong, boss?” Qin Shu asked cautiously.

Lin Xian stared at her for a long while, her hands trembling with anger. “You are screwed,” she finally spat.

“Boss, I’m your chosen one. You cannot leave me alone.” Qin Shu begged.

Lin Xian uttered a humph, pushed Qin Shu into the office and closed the door when she left.

Qin Shu came in and looked around. What a fancy office! Large and spacious, it could be used as a parking garage.

At this moment, she wasn’t in the mood to appreciate how luxurious the CEO office was. She saw from a distance at the desk and found a man standing with his back to her. He looked big and tall.

Qin Shu trotted there and halted. “Hello, I am Qin Shu, an intern of the secretariat. May I know your instructions, Sir?”

The guard next to him almost burst into laughter.

The man slowly turned around, and with a bang, he flung the document in his hand at Qin Shu. He stared at her with a furious look. “Little Qin Shu, are you seducing me?”

F**k! Why Ling Mohan was here?

He was the head of the military industry group?!
