A Story of Evil

Chapter 219: Lumina Dantalion IV

Just as how everyone outside were wondering what was going on inside the vine filled battlefield, the three summoners of the underground arena were just as perplexed. Everywhere they looked, there was nothing but vines. Green and fresh ones mixed by a couple of brown and seemingly withered vines. Adding to this are the flowers which served as the light bulbs for the place, providing illumination for everyone.

Had this happened on a normal occasion, the three would've appreciated the place. In fact, it was so aesthetic that one would even think that it was something made by the heavens itself. Unfortunately, they were there for an entirely different reason. And so they fixed their gaze on the girl who made this all possible. Asking Lumina:

"What is this place?"

"This? You've been placed inside my dryads ultimate skill. Nature's prison. Nobody could see or hear us here. Well, that's at least the amount of information I'm willing to give you about the skill." Lumina said in a calm tone. The book being held by one of her hands while, the other held the vine whip.

At the mention of what the place was, the three fighters looked between themselves. There was a kind of glimmer on their eyes which Lumina expected. An excited look which, they couldn't hold back anymore as they bursted out in laughter.

"HAHAHHAHA!" Had it not been for the noise canceling of the prison, everyone would've heard this cynical roar of laughter coming from the thin summoner.

It was so unnerving that, any regular person would regret hearing it. That's why it was good that Lumina was far from being normal. After all, the noises she heard everyday were stronger and more nerve wrecking than this laughter.

"Do you realize what you've done child?" The thin man continued who, seemed to be the voice of that group.

"No, care to enlighten me?" Lumina flatly replied.

"Fool! We are some of the strongest summoners of the underground arena!" Just by saying this, they knew what reaction their opponent would give them.

Fear.

Anybody who knows of the underground arena would have nothing but fear upon learning that his or her opponent is from this place. In fact, nobody in the Summoners' Domain was unaware of the existence of this prohibited and dangerous fight club. And since nobody from the underground arena has ever been caught alive, no leads have ever been made on where and when the fights happened.

That is why it's so infamous. And what is even higher than the amount of infamy received by the arena itself is, the infamy of those who never lost a fight. One year, two years, three...with the number of years that one has under his or her belt without incurring a loss, a fighter grows more and more deadly. Sharpening their claws with each triumph.

That's why the three were sure that, a regular citizen such as the one they were facing would feel fear. In fact, even without them saying it, they knew that their roots was evident. It could be clearly seen that they aren't bluffing.

That's why they were expecting Lumina to cower and beg in front of them. They were expecting for her to run away although, she has no chance of doing so.

But, Lumina did nothing of the sort. And in fact, it was her who surprised them as she said:

"That's all?"

"What did you just say?"

"You're not particularly good at hiding your bloodlust and, the monsters you've used have all been too powerful for mere students. I already know what you guys are so, declaring it right now doesn't change anything." The three summoners were taken aback by the response of Lumina. They didn't expect her to remain as calm as she was.

"Aren't you scared about what would happen to you girl?" The thin summoner asked.

"Why what would happen to me?" Lumina answered, making the thin summoner think that she was simply too oblivious of what would come next. That's why his smile returned as he gleefully responded:

"You locked yourself inside this place together with us without even thinking things through! Nobody will be able to see what happens you say? Then what do you suppose would happen to you, now that you're locked in with a group of veteran underground fighters?"

"Oh, so you're saying that you can kill me?" Lumina answered sarcastically and, by doing so, she finally made her opponents snap.

"You're getting on my nerves girl!" The thin man said, stabbing a blade through his chest while the other summoners inflicted as much damage on themselves. They all began coughing out blood at that point and, we're laughing hysterically.

"Pretending to be strong in this kind of situation will bring you nothing!" The man said as three hell direwolves appeared right in front of him. All of them having four eyes instead of just two. With their bodies covered in blood like fur.

Meanwhile, the female member of this trio brought out a vicious looking chimera. A winged lion with overgrown fangs and eyes as vicious as a snakes. With half of its body covered in dragon scales and, with large wings sitting on its back.

Then there was the big guy. What came out for him was a king-like summon. With black armor worn and, with blue flames coming out from the gaps in between this suit.

These are the most ferocious of their summons. Ones which they have almost never used in the underground arena. But because Lumina provoked them and, because the girl kept killing all their summons, they had no choice but to bring these ones out.

Summons which have never known defeat. Ones which could easily go toe to toe with the Goblin King Drazon. With their aura being more intense than anything which Lumina has ever faced in her life. And with these coming out, the thin man had nothing but a wide smile on his face. One reaching from ear to ear as he declared:

"Let's see how far your bluff will take you."

Their summons quickly attacked Lumina. Not even a single second has elapsed when this happened, proving just how superior their speed was. However Lumina was able to evade this although just barely. With her right sleeve being torn open because of the attack she wasn't able to completely avoid.

This was only the beginning as the three hell direwolves released a hundred blood spikes from the ground. Each of them at that and, in a speed that was just as fast as their initial attack.

Lumina had no other choice but to keep on backing away. However in doing so, she met the chimera's paw which attacked her while she was airborne. Lumina dodged this by swinging her whip and, grabbing on to the body of the monster, circling around it as she got even higher into the air.

This is when the infernal king made its attack. Pointing its sword at Lumina as a burst of blue flames fired on where she was. Burning not only her but the entirety of the prison as well. Making the thin man laugh once again.

"YOU SEE?"

"YOU SEE!"

"You aren't any match for us you cocky brat! And now you're paying the price for your insolence!" The three summoners roared in laughter. Waiting for the blue flames to diminish in order for them to finally come out, But it is exactly this expectation which made their laughter die down.

After the flames died down, the nature prison was still intact. There were burns all around it but, these are simply replaced by new and fresher vines. Yet this was not the top of their concern. What concerned them even more was, how this prison was still up.

Anything created by a summoned creature disappears once the creature itself expires. And the easiest way for this to happen is through the death of its summoner. But that was just it. The prison was still there which, leads to one logical conclusion...that the girl was still alive.

"Is that all?" The three immediately turned as they heard this voice. And surely enough, the girl was there. Standing perfectly fine. Without any burns. Without any damage.

"DIE ALREADY!" The thin man ordered as the monsters once again came to attack Lumina.

However they were in for a surprise as, these creatures suddenly froze inside gigantic glaciers. All created by a Glacier Abomination which suddenly appeared behind them.

"You said that I'm locked in here with you? I believe you've gotten things mixed up."

Lumina's enemies didn't give up. They created another set of summons. And since they were so eager for more...this is exactly what Lumina gave them. More.

She summoned ten golems. A fire drake. A water tortoise. Five imps and, a beast which looked a lot like Lumina herself. A creature covered in crimson. These monsters easily eliminated the ones which Lumina's enemies created.

This was all the shock which the group needed in order to understand one thing….that their enemy wasn't human. And with Lumina's eyes seemingly gleaming at that point, with her smile suddenly turning devilish, her enemies finally slumped to the ground. Crawling away as they screamed:

"M-MONSTER! MONSTER!"

"Ah yes…now you have a clear idea of what's happening." Lumina said as she began walking towards her frightened enemies. With a smile on her face as she declared:

"I'm not locked in here with you...you're locked in her with me."
