Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?

Chapter 111 Puppet Manipulation. Aiming for Wang Yun’s Head? (3)

At the same time, at the entrance of Nancheng Bank, Wang Yun reverted to his previously exposed identity.

Greeting Brother Hu and the others with a smile, he spread his arms and shouted, “Come on, let the show begin.”

“Hahaha, it’s showtime, boss, you’re up!”

Brother Hu laughed boisterously, tossing a submachine gun to Wang Yun, cigarette in mouth, as he strode into the bank.

Wang Yun, chewing gum, had a slight smirk on his face. They stepped into the lobby of Nancheng Bank, surveying the surroundings. The sound of gunfire echoed.

“Everyone, down on the ground and cover your heads!” Wang Yun commanded, sweeping his gun towards the security guards as he shouted.

The four guards, caught off guard by Wang Yun’s team’s sudden intrusion, froze. Seeing the red dots targeting them, they quickly lay on the ground, playing ‘dead.’

“Aah! What are you planning to do?” exclaimed a bank employee nearby, shouting in panic. This was in line with the chairman’s instructions.

“Everyone down, stay still!” Brother Hu roared, opening fire at those who remained standing.

“Don’t shoot, please don’t shoot!” alarmed voices echoed immediately, prompting bank staff and forewarned customers to quickly lie down, playing their parts in the act.

“Stick to the plan,” Wang Yun instructed Brother Hu swiftly, picking up his pace as he moved further into the building.

In a room inside, Wang Yun had a computer set up. He pressed a button.

Suddenly, all the lights in Nancheng Bank went out. He clicked again, and the lights flickered back to life, now powered by the bank’s backup generators. Wang Yun had taken complete control of the entire building.

Every network was disabled, every surveillance feed was cut off.

With a swift motion of his hand, he performed an extraordinary face change, changing into the ninth mask. Armed with his computer and tools, he quickly descended to the basement level.

Simultaneously, he gestured to disable the live broadcast function on his tech chip. The next part of his plan was not for prying eyes.

***

“Huh? No way, Big Brother shuts off the live stream at the crucial moment?”

“What? Big Brother, we’re part of your livestream camp! Why did you cut us off?”

“The moment the live stream goes off, Big Brother must be tackling something huge. But now we can’t see it. Big Brother, please don’t shut it off!”

“Come on, Big Brother, turn the live stream back on!”

“I’m so frustrated! Now that I’ve chosen a side, I can only watch Big Brother’s stream. If Big Brother stops broadcasting, what do we do?”

In the livestream, the audience, engrossed in watching Wang Yun’s operation at Nancheng Bank, was taken aback when the stream suddenly went off. This left them feeling exasperated and helpless.

What now? They were left all alone, clueless.

Down in the basement level of Nancheng Bank, Wang Yun strode purposefully toward the vault. As he passed by a room door, he snapped his fingers.

“We’re being robbed. Hurry, let’s relocate all the bank’s money,” Wang Yun directed the four silhouetted figures inside, “From now on, follow my orders.”

The figures paused, their expressions turning vacant as they mechanically moved toward Wang Yun.

“Move out.”

Wang Yun, unfazed, rapidly made his way to the basement. Scanning the area, he tapped on his computer, and all the alarm systems in the vicinity went silent.

Standing before the vault, Wang Yun grabbed his tools, his gaze intensely fixed on the massive safe. He meticulously examined it, his eyes gleaming with a calculated glint.

‘Three minutes,’ he thought to himself.

It would take exactly three minutes to crack open this vault. This was well within the time frame his plan required.

Begin! Execute!

Seconds and minutes ticked away relentlessly.

Meanwhile, in the lobby of Nancheng Bank, three of his subordinates were using the elevator to move staff from the upper floors, gathering them together. Soon, over a hundred hostages were amassed in the lobby.

Three minutes later, the large vault made clicking noises as it slowly opened. A gleam of success shone in Wang Yun’s eyes.

He did it. His god-level lock-picking skills were nothing short of miraculous.

Wang Yun glanced inside the vault, his eyes lighting up at the sight. There was at least two hundred million in cash.

“Quick, take a hundred million,” Wang Yun commanded the four individuals by his side.

The hypnotized group sprang into action. Wang Yun also moved swiftly, transferring one hundred million to the entrance. After moving the money, he started to set something up inside the vault.

“You three, take this one hundred million to the abandoned storage room, then return to the room you were in before,” Wang Yun directed three of them, his attention turning to a young man resembling him in stature, “You, come with me!”

“Yes!”

The four nodded mechanically in response. The trio mechanically executed the moving orders. Meanwhile, Wang Yun led the young man towards the lobby.

“Do you greatly admire Wang Yun?” he asked.

“Yes, I really look up to Big Brother Wang Yun.”

“You can become Wang Yun too, did you know that?”

“Can I really do it?”

“Absolutely. From this moment on, you are Wang Yun. You become Wang Yun,” Wang Yun murmured softly into the young man’s ear.

He placed one of his compromised disguise masks on the young man’s face and handed him a piece of gum.

“Just sit in the lobby, chew this gum, and hold the gun. Do nothing else,” Wang Yun advised him further, “Understood? Wang Yun.”

“Yes, I am Wang Yun. I got it,” the young man, entranced by the illusion, nodded.

Wang Yun’s lips twitched into a subtle smile. They made their way straight to the lobby. Brother Hu’s eyes lit up as he spotted Wang Yun emerging.

“Quick, anyone who’s not a bank employee, leave now. We’re giving you a chance to go,” Brother Hu bellowed to the crowd in the lobby.

“Yes, yes!”

“Can we stay and watch?” some customers at the bank asked, while others were hesitant to leave.

“Alright, alright, if you want to play the part of hostages, feel free to stay. Those with other matters to attend to, leave now,” Brother Hu said, a hint of frustration in his voice.

Some people, excited by the drama, chose to stay, while others exited the Nancheng Bank headquarters. Wang Yun then followed the departing crowd outside.

Yes, it was time for him to step away, to distance himself from this whirlpool.

His plan was set in motion.

With a dozen people trailing behind, a faint smile crept across his face. The unfolding events promised to be most intriguing.

So I know the author wrote this and you’re just translating but a billion yuan is a large amount. I mean by size and weight. If we’re talking US Dollar denomination, one billion in $100 bills will still weigh 22K pounds(11 US Tons) and will take up a large delivery truck to handle. The three hypnotized bank employees would not be able to move all of that, at least not quickly. I found an article stating that 120 Million Yuan would be roughly 1.3 Cubic Meters so that would be over 10 cubic meters for one billion. A van’s not going to cut it as well.

Also, this paints a huge target on Wang Yun’s back. Not just for the task force but for any criminal looking for money.Wasn’t there a gang out there looking for revenge against Wang Yun? They’ve also shown that you can have people from outside the area relay Wang Yun’s location or actions to people inside. They’re carrying actual guns and he has paintball guns. He needs a huge truck(or Van, I suppose for the sake of the story) to move it and he can’t easily slip away like before.

Seems like a really sketchy situation for him now.
