Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?

Chapter 12 Complete Annihilation, Zhang Xingchen Gets His Face Slapped Again

Wang Yun scaled the walls swiftly, executed a Wall Jump, a Wall Clasp, a Cat Leap, a Monkey Jump, a Lazy Vault, slid through railings, and performed a Wall Spin. Smooth and fluid parkour moves followed one after another, effortlessly overcoming each obstacle.

Upon reaching the third floor, Wang Yun didn’t stop and rushed upward to the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors.

Wang Yun showcased an extreme parkour performance for everyone to see. His movements were fluid and stylish, filled with a variety of cool, unparalleled parkour techniques.

Saomao was trailing behind him, his face slightly flushed.

When Wang Yun reached the seventh floor, Saomao was still on the sixth. As for the other two officers, they were only on the fourth floor.

Wang Yun stood in front of a constructed steel platform on the seventh floor, smiling at the entrance to the staircase.

He waited about four or five seconds before Saomao’s figure finally appeared. Wang Yun looked at him, shook his head, and grabbed the steel frame. In the next moment, Wang Yun, nimble as a monkey, grabbed the steel pipes one after another and quickly jumped downward.

From the seventh floor, a distance of over twenty meters, with the help of steel pipe supports, Wang Yun reached the ground in just seven or eight seconds.

“Damn it!” Saomao exclaimed.

Seeing Wang Yun descending using the steel pipes, Saomao quickly ran to the edge and peered down.

Wang Yun landed on the ground and looked up at him. Their eyes locked. Wang Yun was chewing gum and casually blew a bubble toward him. He gave Saomao, who was above, a thumbs-up, but then slowly turned it downwards.

Thumbs down! Without uttering a word, just a single gesture was enough. You can’t handle it!

“Huh, huh!” Seeing this gesture, Saomao’s breath grew ragged, his face filled with frustration and defeat. He had lost.

He utterly had lost. Without putting up any resistance, he had been completely and thoroughly defeated. The gap was too large.

“It’s mind-blowing! That parkour sequence was on par with an international blockbuster,” one viewer commented.

“Indeed, it was super cool, truly explosive. It felt like watching a clash of the gods!” another exclaimed.

“Are you sure it was a clash of gods? Wasn’t it more like Ultraman beating up small monsters?” someone quipped.

“Saomao was completely outclassed. He’s just not in the same league.”

“Wang Yun’s final move, a perfect demonstration of this one-sided duel. Is he the top parkour athlete in the country?”

“Utter domination!”

Watching the livestream, everyone’s eyes were ablaze when they saw Wang Yun casually chewing gum and blowing a bubble with an air of disdain. The events that unfolded earlier were incredibly thrilling.

“I lost, we’re in different leagues. His parkour ability is unparalleled worldwide,” Saomao mumbled, his face etched with bitterness as he stood on the seventh floor.

He clicked the communicator on his headset and murmured, “Captain, I’ve lost.”

“Don’t be disheartened, Saomao,” came the comforting voice of Zhang Xingchen, who had been attentively watching the live broadcast.

After a pause, Zhang Xingchen continued, “Wang Yun’s physical fitness matches that of professional athletes. He could be a member of the national team.” As a world champion, he understood physical prowess quite well. He added, “So, not capturing him this time is understandable. At least we’ve learned more about him. Next time we attempt his arrest, we’ll have a strategy.”

Zhang Xingchen’s face also bore a grim expression. He could feel a stinging burn on his face.

Their constant failures, especially this time, when he had pledged to exact revenge and defend his female fan, were a source of frustration. The operation, which had been so promising, ended in another defeat. Yet, his face was stoic.

“Wang Yun’s physical fitness truly is on par with national athletes, and his parkour skills are exceptional. Xingchen, don’t lose heart. Even we could be stumped by such an unusual ‘fugitive’,” Hong Feng reassured Zhang Xingchen.

“That’s true,” Shen Hao chuckled, “Xingchen, did you somehow offend the show’s producers? They set you up with such an extraordinary fugitive.”

“I suppose so, ha, I, Zhang Xingchen, won’t be swayed by a minor setback. I’m the captain of the third inspection team. He may run fast, but can he outrun a car?”

Zhang Xingchen’s mood lightened a bit, and he managed a smile. Although he had been figuratively slapped in the face again, his resolve was unshaken.

“I will catch him.” He reiterated, clenching his fist, then shook his head. “But today, I can’t afford to spend more time pursuing him. I need to prioritize arresting others first. You all have already apprehended someone, only I haven’t.”

Next to him, Wu Mingyu and others shared a light laugh. It wasn’t Zhang Xingchen’s fault for falling short twice on the same fugitive. Indeed, anyone in his place would have likely ended up with the same result.

Who could have anticipated the fugitive’s formidable physical prowess? This wasn’t a battle of wits but a challenge of endurance.

“Don’t worry about it, Xingchen. Remember, we, as chief inspectors, have access to weapons,” Leng Ming interjected from the side.

He didn’t seem fazed by Wang Yun. Yes, the fugitive was agile and had great stamina, but did that mean he was uncatchable?

Remember, real-world police have weapons, including stun guns and pistols. They, as chief inspectors on the show, had them too. Although they were props, in the context of the show, they were considered real.
