Avoid Yandere Constellation

Chapter 28

After I finished changing, I walked out of the locker room. At the same time, Eileen and Jenny came out of the women’s locker room.

Our eyes immediately locked. She looked at me for a moment, then her ears reddened and her head turned to the other side.

Then she runs away from me like a broken robot. Jenny following after Eileen.

What is she running away from like that?

I walked towards the field, not understanding.

***

Meanwhile, that time.

Eileen turned and walked towards the exercise room. Jenny stood behind her and spoke in a slightly surprised tone.

“Eileen. Did you just see Kane’s body?”

“Umm.”

Eileen nodded in response to Jenny’s question. Jenny had a look of pure admiration on her face.

“What kind of training did he do during the school holidays to make his body look so tough? I could feel it when he was wearing his school uniform, but once he took it off, I could totally see his muscles and his pecs!”

“Mmm.”

Jenny narrowed her eyes at Eileen’s cool response. She turned her head to her. Seeing the look on her face, Jenny smiled a naughty little grin.

“Fufufu… Eileen, are you honestly regretting breaking up with Kane?”

“Huh..? O-of course not?! No!!”

In response to Jenny’s question, Eileen throws her arms up in the air with a blush on her face.

Sometimes a strong denial is a strong affirmation.

Jenny smiles smugly at the thought.

“You’re blushing pretty hard for that.”

“T-that’s because you teased me!”

Eileen says, fanning her face with her hands in embarrassment.

Jenny laughs wryly, finding her reaction amusing.

“Ah〜 Fufufu, Eileen your reaction is cute.”

“Ugh…”

I thought I was used to Jenny’s teasing, but I guess not.

“So, what type of fitness test is this from day one anyway?”

“I don’t think but It wouldn’t be too bad. How great is it to be able to learn and train at the same time?”

Jenny shook her head in disbelief at Eileen’s training addiction.

And not just once, but several times.

“I think that’s probably just you.”

Hearing Jenny’s words, Eileen fell silent, unable to find anything to say.

***

In preparation for a fitness test, the field was lined with cones 20 metres apart on either side. Jenny looked at them and scratched her head.

“How do you test your fitness with those?”

“Ummm… maybe running back and forth…”

They’re testing knight wannabes, not the general public?

Knight aspirants have been training since they were young. They don’t get tired just by going back and forth like that.

That is, of course, assuming they maintain a certain pace.

When the two are still in doubt. When Professor Byrne answered, raising and lowered his sword repeatedly.

“Well, you’ll see. Go ahead and wait in line.”

The two nodded and joined the students. After a minute or so in line, everyone gathered on the school grounds.

Professor Byrne looked them all over and smiled slightly.

“Hmmm……yes, so today’s fitness test is a long round-trip run. Well, I’ll just show you rather than explaining.”

Professor Byrne stopped strength training as he spoke and pulled out a round crystal ball from his subspace ring. He pressed a button on the crystal ball. A female voice then spoke.

-I’m going to explain how to perform the round trip long run.

Professor Byrne followed the crystal ball’s instructions and leisurely made his way to the opposite cone. He arrived before the sound.

-Tick

When the sound came, he went back to where he came from. Then he explained.

“Now. You just have to get to the other side before the sound. Of course, anyone who doesn’t get there before then is out. See? Simple, right?”

Seeing the confident nods from the students, Professor Byrne raises one corner of his mouth.

“Okay, then. I want you all to stand in the cone to your left.”

***

Standing in the center cone, I turned my head to the side.

” ”

“D-don’t get me wrong, I didn’t come here because I wanted to be next to you, I came here because Jenny said we should do it here!”

She spoke very fast, as if she was making excuses, explaining how there was no other meaning, even though I just looked at her, not a single word did I speak.

[Goddess of Destiny says she’s suspicious, she’s been following you the whole time!]

“I didn’t ask you?”

“Ugh!”

[Goddess of Destiny feels like the words are being spoken to her].

Unsolicited, Eileen blushes and wriggles.

Although I can’t see it, I’m sure the constellation is having a similar reaction to Eileen.

After a few moments of awkwardness, Professor Byrne shouts out.

“Then let’s start the long round trip!”

At Professor Byrne’s words, most of the students stopped talking and turned serious.

A female voice came from the crystal ball. As the voice ended, music began to play.

“♩♪♫〜.”

… What the. Why is this music playing here?

The music that’s playing now is none other than BGM from the game.

In fact, it’s a song with over 10 million YouTube views on the topic of game music.

Listening to it off-screen feels strange to hear it in the game world.

I looked around listening to music. All the students arrived on the other side, lazily.

“Hey. Isn’t this pretty easy?”

“That is so… therefore, I think this will last until the end of PE class?”

Most of them bluff. And then there are some who run fast because they’re competitive.

So, yeah. Enjoy it while you can.

A physical education performance assessment that happens once in every school year on Earth.

At first, you think it’s a dumb thing to do, but then you realise that there’s nothing more ridiculous than this.

With that, the students all went to the other side of the cone, laughing and talking leisurely.

And so twenty minutes passed.

“Whew! Whew!”

“Ha! I should have kept my mouth shut at the beginning. Dammit.”

Most of the students, unlike the first time, are now dripping with sweat.

Of course, it’s quite hard for me now. But Thanks to the fact that I kept my mouth shut while controlling my physical strength at the beginning, I was more relaxed than most students.

[Goddess of Destiny says all the training is worth it].

She’s right.

If I had stayed true to my original body when I was first possessed, I would have been eliminated long ago, even if I had adjusted my physical strength.

But they’re all knight wannabes, so everyone’s doing well.

If it were the people on Earth, they would have given up long ago.

What about Eileen?

I turn my head to the side and see that she’s running hard, ignoring her bouncing breasts.

Maybe she’s a little like Riche.

No. Let’s stop.

[Goddess of Destiny says she knows your tastes with certainty].

Sorry, it’s just Natural Phenomenon. I don’t think anyone can resist, not look at them.

Another 10 minutes passed.

-Tick

“Ugh!!!”

“Grhhh.”

The two who were bluffing earlier, ran off, drooling from their mouths as if they were about to die.

But.

-Tick.

They didn’t make it to the other side of the cone before the sound of the next one was heard. Professor Byrne, seeing the two of them, opened his mouth.

“You’re out, 21 and 22. Walk one lap of the grounds, then sit down and rest.”

“”Y-yes, sir.””

The two bluffers dragged their limp legs across the field.

Damnit. I envy them. I just want to give up!

The students who gave up the long round trip are now all sitting back and drinking water.

Give me water too!

[Goddess of Destiny says the fruit juice is sweet. Ah〜 delicious!]

Shit. Constellation bastard.

As if she’s been waiting for this, she begins to tease me condescendingly.

You’re going to get sick from drinking this!

As I curse Constellation inwardly, a sound rings out as if it’s the right time.

-Tick

I don’t want to run anymore. Part of me wants to go get a drink of water right now.

Normally, I’d just give up, but this damn quest is making it hard for me to do that.

[Quest Occurrence – Endure the Long Run!]

[Description: Endure the long run to and from your first PE class (no loss if you fail).

[Reward: 400 Quest Points.]

According to the quest description, I don’t lose anything by giving up, but I have a lot to gain.

400 quest points!!! If I get that, I’ll have 1,000 points now!

I can’t buy points directly, so I have to earn them by completing quests somehow.

Whoa… That’s a tough one, by the way. I wonder how much longer I have left.

I look around, wondering how long I have left, and except for the wannabe knights, I’m out of luck.

Just 10 more minutes, and it’s over.

So I gritted my teeth and started running again.

Another ten minutes passed.

-Tick

By now, the speed at which the crystal ball was ringing was a far cry from the first time. Along with it, my breathing became increasingly ragged.

“Whew! Whew!”

Part of me wants to look around to see how many people are left, but I don’t even have the strength to do so.

“Huh! Huh! Huh!”

When is this going to end? It feels like an eternity already.

-Tick

The crystal ball chimed, as if to deny my inner thoughts.

I think it’s about to be over.

-Tick

Damn it. You’re answering my inner thoughts, what the hell.

I was screaming at the top of my lungs for it to end, and the crystal ball was like, ‘No. No.’

Aren’t I going to die?

I’m not lying. My vision is getting blurry, like I’ve actually been stabbed to death.

Not only that, but my legs were shaking as if to say, “Stop running. You’re psycho!” And my legs feel like they’re trembling, and my heart is beating faster than it’s ever been in my entire life.

If I die as I am, this is going to look pretty stupid.

Of course, there is no way anyone will know that I died because I ran so long.

However, I would feel so pathetic about myself.

Maybe I should just give up?

Yeah. It’s never because I want to give up. It, it’s just the way it is.

Haha…… This tastes like blood in my mouth.?

[Goddess of Destiny cheers you on]

She was mocking me just a moment ago, and now she’s cheering me to death because it’s not enough.

You b*tch. Are you cheering me to death.?

I ran at full speed, thinking it was the last time.

This is probably the fastest I’ve ever run in my life.

Any minute now, the crystal ball will start making noise again.

Honestly, it’s the same if I give up now or at the next one.

!.

But I want to make it through one last time.

I’m almost halfway to the cone, with one second remaining before the crystal ball makes a sound.

“Hmph!”

I sucked in a breath. I ran faster and faster.

One last step.

I just need to cross this and I’ll be done.

Just this one!

Just as I took that one step, a sound rang out from the crystal ball.

-Ding!
