Erian's pupils constricted and he gently dropped his left leg from the previous stance. That was a lot of nuclear energy. The beast was almost two meters tall and looked very similar to a rat but there was dwarve in its name, making Erian wonder how tall the normal type would be. Its beady eyes cautiously gazed over Erian. Upon sensing the intense amount of nuclear energy gathering at his body, its eyes seem to have turned red and it suddenly lunged towards Erian with intense speed.

Erian's expression changed drastically. Flustered, he immediately leapt away, just barely able to evade being bitten by the beast.

"Crash!"

Numerous metals scattered in all directions with the attack of the beast. With astonishing agility, it instantly turned back and swished through the air, heading for Erian.

Taking in a deep breath, Erian's face turned solemn and he didn't back away even when the beast was a meter away from him. When they were just a few inches away from each other, Erian suddenly moved.

Erian's fists clenched and his muscles tightened. He could almost hear the sound of his blood pumping within his veins.

At the same time, streaks of warm currents flew from his body through his flesh and converged within his fists, making them noticeably warm in the process. Was he using nuclear energy? Having no time contemplate on that, Erian punched out heavily.

"Bang!"

A cloud of powdered metal spread softly to the air like dust. Erian was forced to retreat seven steps backwards due to the resultant force. His first steps were heavier than the last, leaving deep imprint on the ground with numerous syringes cracking and exploding into multiple pieces, destroyed underneath the intense pressure of Erian's foot. His face instantly turned black gelling the numbness in his arm and warm liquid threatening to spill out from his mouth. This beast was even stronger than Blake!

The Iron-skin Dwarve Rattus's charging force was actually forcefully halted and it appeared stunned.

Not daring to let it recover, Erian swallowed the blood back down and stomped his feet to the ground, arriving in front of the beast. Before it could react, a long needle stabbed straight into its eyes.

"Puchi!"

,m The beast squealed miserably and it seem to have gone crazy, charging randomly at every heap of packed metal and glass.

Caught off guard, Erian was pulled along. Quickly climbing onto the stinking back of the beast, he tried stabbing the head, but with a pa sound, the needle broke.

Shocked, Erian wrapped his arms around the head of the beast, clinging tightly to it. Infuriated, the Iron-skin Dwarve Rattus charged rapidly towards different heaps of metals, slamming its back against them, but Erian refused to let go.

Erian's clothes had torn to shreds at this point and numerous bloody streaks could be seen on his back. But Erian gritted his teeth and refused to relent.

He suddenly had an epiphany. If he could absorb nuclear energy from the body of the Metal-seeking bug, doesn't that mean he could also absorb the energy within the body of the beast? Erian roared in his mind 'System! Absorb! Absorb it!'

At first, the beast struggled, crazily slamming into mountains of syringes wanting to get Erian off its back. Multiple metal shards scratches his back in the process, even his leg was stabbed through by a needle but Erian refused to let go.

Gradually, the struggle of the beast weakened and its speed slowed down considerably. Erain was glad. The system could actually absorb energy from the body of a living creature!

After three minutes, the beast flopped to the ground, panting. Most of its energy must have been sucked by Erian like a vampire.

Not still daring to get off the beast, Erian still refused to let go and another minute passed. The panting turned into shallow breaths. All of its energy had mostly been devoured by the system.

Finally, Erian was able to catch his breath. He tiredly rolled to the ground. "Ouch!"

All of his body ached and his back could be said to be a bloody work of art at this point.

Erian turned around and looked at the huge rat. Its head appeared to be bigger than its body and it had short limbs with dirty sharp claws on them. The beast appeared quite withered at this point and it was paralysed to the ground.

"Hmph! Think you are tough uhn?"

"Bam! Bam! Bam!"

He angrily smashed his fist repeatedly in the tough skull of the beast until it eventually died, bleeding all over its orifices.

Erian excitedly glanced at his status.

[Name: Erian Falstone]

[Level: Three]

[Nuclear Energy: 1671/19(119)]

[Strength: 6.9]

[Agility: 7]

[Vitality: 6.9]

[Nuclear Pulse Talent: Two-star(Low-grade)<Upgradable>(10000)]

[Name: Eternal Physique Optimization Art(Legendary Tier, low-grade)]

His nuclear energy had decreased by a hundred points? Erian was stunned. The warm feeling around his fist was nuclear energy being used by him? He could access nuclear energy now when he wasn't even a level six. The 'Eternal Physique Optimization Art was truly godly.'

He had used about a hundred points of energy during his battle with the beast. He not only gained the energy he spent, but gained about ten folds of energy points from the beast! It was well worth it. Although this energy wasn't easily earned, it was a quick way to earn nuclear energy points.

Selecting syringes takes time, dismantling and absorbing them one by one takes even more time. This way was less time consuming but also extremely dangerous. Erian had no idea what kind of monsters dwelled within this place, but he had heard rumours about monsters that could even rival a level Nine expert with an awaken nuclear pulse!
