Chapter 10: Natural Born Talent

Chapter 10: Natural Born Talent

“Next one! Now!”

After the shout that could make even an adult to behave with respect, people after people started to walk onto the Altar, one by one.

Giving Famir the envelope, drinking the fluid, and fusing a bit of essence into the pebble, people obtained their Cultivation Talent after each other.

Time has flown by slowly, and after 5 hours of waiting, only a few people remained in the Realm Pillar.

Including some strangers and their relatives who remained, Nate, Liza, Khal, Alde, and Eliss were the last ones waiting for their line in the queue.

However, out of all of them, Alde and Eliss were the only ones who decided to remain last on purpose. Both of them were waiting for Khal and the others to go before them, but why, it was completely unknown.

And just after another 30 minutes, it was finally Nate’s turn.

Just like the others, he too gave the envelope to Famir and after sitting down before the Destiny Stone he drank the fluid.

However, the moment he did, his Cultivation Tatoo didn’t appear on his wrist like the person before him, but instead, it started to form on his ankle.

Nevertheless, Khal seeing this wasn’t surprised at all. During his time inside the Realm Pillar, he saw almost a hundred of similar cases.

There were even some participants whose tattoos didn’t emerge on their wrist nor on their ankle, but on the back of their necks or on the side of their shoulder.

However, out of the four-position which were the wrist, the ankle, the neck, and the shoulder, there was no one else who had a Cultivation Tattoo somewhere else.

“I’m quite curious what his Cultivation Talent is.”, said Khal with a curious stare as he looked at Nate who was currently fusing his essence into the pebble in his hand.

“Yeah, me too. But unfortunately, right after the Ceremony, no one is able to tell what your Talent really is, except you. Only after registering yourself in the Cultivator’s Organization will others be able to see your ability.”

“Yeah, that is true…”, said Khal with a nod, but in truth, he had no clue at all that it worked like that.

“After finishing here, I need to understand this world’s system a bit more or others will be suspicious about me. Or if I’m lucky, they will just look at me like a moron, haha… ha…”

As he thought about this with a slight sight, Famir’s voice sounded from the Altar once again.

“Next! Now!”

“Will you head out first or can I go?”, asked Liza as she looked at Khal calmly.

“Just go. I can wait.”, said Khal with a smile and stepped an inch to the side.

However, the moment he said this, instead of going, Liza just frowned deeply and looked at him in silence.

“What? Did I say something wrong?”, asked Khal with a confused expression, not understanding why Liza was looking at him like that.

But Liza just continued to frown at him and just only after a small while did she shake her head and said, “No, it’s nothing.”

After she said that, Liza walked over to the bridge and gave her envelop to Famir.

While she did the exact same things as others, Nate stepped closer to Khal and asked, “What happened? You seem bothered.”

Khal turning his gaze at Nate wanted to say something, but just before he could have done so, suddenly a blinding light erupted from the Altar’s direction.

“!”

Nate, Khal, Alde, Eliss, and everyone else, looked at this sight with a shocked expression, while Famir on the sight opened his mouth wide.

“Oh, God! A Natural Born… She has a Natural Born Talent!!”

When Khal heard this, frowned slightly and asked Nate on his side, “What is a Natural Born Talent?”

Nate who was still mesmerized by the sight, gave out a shocked sigh and started to explain.

“After one drinks the fluid that the Saint has given them, one will be able to obtain their Cultivation Talent, just like those before us. However, there is an extremely rare case when one has already a Cultivation Talent without knowing it, but because they drank the fluid, they obtain another one. It is an extremely rare case and there are only a few in this world who has Natural Born Talent.”

“Then does this mean, Liza has now two Cultivation Talent?”, asked Khal with a surprised expression, realizing the weight of this news.

“Yes. But this isn’t the only reason to be shocked. Those with a Natural Born Talent have a frightening ability that makes them even stronger than others. Not only do they have two different powers, but when they cultivate and reach the next Stage with only one of their Talent, the other one will follow suit. Simply put, they only need to concentrate to cultivate one of their Talent and the other one will automatically reach the next Stage too.”

“That is a complete cheat, no?”, asked Khal with surprise, not believing something like this could exist, to begin with.

“I think so too, but this is the truth. Every person who had reached the Final Stage inside the First Realm and broke into the Second Realm, all became experts there. There was no exception.”

Listening to what Nate said, Khal looked at Liza on the Altar and thought with interest, “A Natural Born, huh…”

Time passed and after a few seconds, the blinding light started to dissipate.

When the light has fully disappeared, Famir looked at Liza with a shocked expression, but the next second he came back to his senses and took out the pebble from the envelope.

“Here.”

Handing it over to Liza, Famir watched as the girl fused a bit of her power into the stone, making it to melt into the Destiny Stone and form strange carvings on its surface just like the others before.

After the process was done, Liza stood up, bowed at the Saint respectfully, and walked away with a calm attitude.

Famir seeing this could just clear his throat and shout instantly.

“Next one!”

Watching as Liza walked back, Khal smiled and said, “Congratulations! You are amazing as always!”

“Thank you!”, replied Liza with a warm smile and said, “Now go. It’s your turn.”

“Sure.”, nodded Khal, and looked at Alde in the distance. Seeing that he was still waiting as always, he sighed and calmly walked toward the Altar.

Stepping before Famir, Khal handed his envelope over and with a respected bow he said, “It’s my pleasure to meet the Saint!”

The moment Famir heard Khal’s sentence, hummed slightly and said, “Not a bad attitude, but you won’t achieve anything with sweet talk, kid. So take this and drink!”

With a nod, Khal took away the bottle and after sitting down before the Destiny Stone he opened the lid.

Seeing the strange fluid in the bottle, which strangely had no scent at all, Khal didn’t hesitate at all and put the lid before his mouth.

“Let’s see what my Cultivation Talent will be. I don’t wish for anything strong, but something useful.”

With that thought in mind, Khal closed his eyes and with a sudden move, poured the liquid down his throat, drinking the whole amount in one go.

*Gulp!*
