Entertainment World: The Wild God of Gourmet

Chapter 19

“The winter in the DXAL jungle is a silvery-white world. It is also a difficult season for the animals to endure their hunger. After the heavy snow in the jungle, the ground will form a thin layer of ‘snow crusts’. During this period, the small animals in the jungle cannot find food on the ground; therefore, they will crawl into the crusts to look for food. These small animals, like the snow rabbit, will feel hunger and dart about. Suddenly, the snow crust will collapse and the snow rabbit would have fallen into the snow den. The snow would then swallow the rabbit and it will struggle.

At this time, something under the snow crust will have touched its leg, followed by a crackling sound. The snow rabbit would become frightened and would keep jumping. The more fear it has, the harder it struggles, which would cause the snow den to go deeper. Suddenly, there will be a cackling sound which will frighten the snow rabbit. It will lie on the snow den and would not dare to move, shivering.

The “residents” under the snow den will think that it is the attack of their natural enemy. Their fear will grow and keep making the cackling sounds while pecking the snow rabbit non-stop. The snow rabbit would then cry due to pain.

Who else could the residents be? They are actually the black chickens, hazel grouses and snow mountain quails. They live under the snow crust. During daytime, they will crawl into the snow crust looking for persimmon and jumble beads fruit. At night, they would sleep under the snow. It is warm and safe after being covered by the thick snow blanket. At this point of time, their cackling travels very far.

But, the residents do not expect their cackling to attract the weasel. The weasel rides on the snow rabbit, lifts their tail and puts a stinky fart into the mouth of snow rabbit. The snow rabbit faints, never to wake up again. The residents under the snow are not able to avoid this disaster either.

This is the small story in the natural world. It happens every day. If you listen carefully, you will be able to find the clues.”

The audience was paying attention to B-Dog’s storytelling which gave them insights between humans and the natural world. His voice was clean and could speak fluently. The way he spoke was similar to a reporter, clear and comfortable. Suddenly, B-Dog stopped talking. The audiences took a look. They realized he had stopped moving and got down from his ski board, bowed and squat before the snow slope. He was looking at one direction with his bright eyes.

The camera zoomed in. Surprisingly it was a snow rabbit sneaking around. It continued running on the snow when it realized there was no danger.

Amazing!

It was exactly the same as the story, two more steps and it fell into the snow den. It seemed to be easy to catch the rabbit but B-Dog was crawling and lowering his body. He spoke softly, “You guys only see the rabbit but I see the wolf behind the rabbit. Look at the thorn forest.”

Dog Egg moved the camera to the forest and the entire broadcast room was shocked.

“Wow, it is snow wolf!”

“The eyes are green.”

B-Dog talked in a soft tone, “It is tiring to catch a rabbit on the snow ground, especially in a strange place. There are many thorn forests here. I may catch the rabbit but it could also sneak into the thorn forests. There is a saying, “The mantis stalks the cicada but behind them lurks the oriole.” It is better to be the oriole now. When the wolf catches the rabbit, I will rush to chase the wolf away and snatch its food.”

“Look, the wolf is moving.”

It happened as fast as a wink.

The snow rabbit was just jumping on a snow slope and its legs had fallen onto the snow ground. It was then the wolf leaped onto the rabbit speedily. Once the snow rabbit found out it was in danger, it fled with all its energy. However, the speed of the wolf was extremely fast. It jumped, caught the rabbit, and pressed it onto the snow ground. It then bit the rabbit’s neck, and with the sound of a bite, the rabbit died on the spot.

Without waiting for the wolf to enjoy its delicious food, B-Dog ran out like a leopard.

At this moment, he was no longer gentle. He became wild and activated the rushing skill. Stepping heavily on the snow ground, it caused the snow to fly everywhere. The counterforce let him dashed like the wind with his coat swinging high.

The snow wolf was shocked, it stepped backward and stopped. Obviously, it was not willing to let go of its food. Hunger and blood-lust had activated its natural ability. Its pupils dilated, looking fiercely at B-Dog.

B-Dog did not hesitate. For the first time, he took out the “Hunter’s Machete” and threw it at a distance of ten meters. He did not want to let go of this wolf.

The knife grazed the wolf’s rear leg in an instant. He missed!

B-Dog was embarrassed. The hunting knife was not a flying blade after all; thus, it could not be aimed accurately. Furthermore, the flying blade skill at LV4 worked poorly on moving objects. Without hesitation, he clicked on the 2 skill points for “Flying Blade”. It became LV6 now.

The snow wolf howled but it did not slow down its movements. Normally, the wolves acted in a group and an individual wolf seldom attacked those bigger in size. Apparently, this individual wolf had gone crazy after bleeding. It rushed to B-Dog alone, jumping high and aiming for B-Dog’s throat.

The rare battle between human and wolf had begun without any signal.

B-Dog narrowed his eyes. Instead of moving backward, he charged out and bent his body, escaping the wolf’s attack easily. In an instant, he knelt on the snow and slid for a few meters before stopping. The audience did not notice when he took his second knife out.

The wolf whined. Falling far away without moving anymore.

The camera had captured B-Dog’s back of how he threw the knife. The angle from bottom to top was making the audience having the illusion of a giant, masculine male.

The pop-up comments and gift sending were rolling crazily at this moment. It caused the server to almost overload.

What was B-Dog doing? He continued his posture and remained for several seconds!

The audience at this time exploded. They had gone wild at that moment, yet, no one said he was pretending to act cool.

“Holy sh*t, you slaughtered a wolf in a flash!”

Some audience who just joined the broadcast room asked, “Did I miss something?”

“Did anyone record down? Video please!”, “video please”, “video please +1″…

Fan FanFan, who was holding the lunch box at the Panda’s office was shocked when she saw this scene. After few seconds when she saw the pop-up comments cropping up, only then did she managed to react. She began to edit the video and selected the best scenes for online advertising.

“Ding, congratulations to Master for collecting 2 million popularity points. You get one skill point and one chance of a Grade C lucky draw.”

The camera returned to the front angle at the snow ground.

B-Dog took a long breath. The audience thought he was posing to act cool. Well, he was indeed, but anyone else was would be unable to sustain longer than a day. Anyway, you could tell from his rapid breathing that the battle happened just now was not easy.

He did not say anything and remained cool. He picked up the hunting knife that missed and put it back to its sheath. He walked to the motionless wolf. The blood had stained the snow ground but it was frozen already.

He had never eaten wolf meat before. Rumor said it was not tasty but he wanted to have a try. Looking at the bleeding coat and fur, and the terrifying wolf teeth, he was a bit worried.
