15 days later.

Tang Qin was sitting in his room, playing a game on his computer. He was talking to his friend and also streaming his gameplay.

He is what you call a professional streamer. He plays games and earns money from them. You can say that playing games and streaming is how he makes a living. If he were to stop playing games, he would die from hunger.

So when he was trying to ambush his enemy, his Computer suddenly shut down.

"What?

What happened!

Did I press the wrong key?"

With that, he checked but could not find anything wrong.

So he thought it might be a glitch. So he started the game again and apologized to his streamers that his Computer suddenly turned off, he didn't know why.

He started to play again, but after just 10 min of his computer being turned on, it was off again.

"WTH is this?"

He was frustrated. He turned on the Computer again but after 10 min, the same thing happened again.

He was now truly annoyed.

"What trash Computer is this I paid $3000 for it and they still gave me a trash Computer."

He bought this Computer just 5 days ago because his previous one was slow but now he is regretting it.

He took out his mobile from his pocket to announce on his forum that his COMPUTER was having issues and that he apologized to his fans for not being able to play.

But just when he opened the forum on his mobile, he noticed that many users there were complaining that their COMPUTERS were turning on and off on their own and they could not do anything about it.

Tang Qin was not the only one who was facing this problem but many people around the world were facing this same problem.

Many people posted in different forums that this was a virus attack and there was no anti-virus for it yet. All they could do for now is to reinstall the operating system, but there is still a chance they might get infected again.

In the headquarters of many anti-virus companies, senior developers and programmers were having a meeting.

In the main meeting hall of 360 digital security, top senior experts had gathered and were going through the data they had gathered.

"According to the statistics, at least 3 million internet users were affected with this virus so far, and the numbers were growing." One expert stood and explained.

"We have studied this virus and this is totally marvelous. We can't even crack it, and when we tried to study it, our own Computers were affected so we had to study it while keeping it in a virtual space which limits our tools." He paused a little after saying this and then continued.

"But whoever made it, is a genius. Because when we entered its signature in our database to stop it from entering our network, it changed its signature on its own and bypassed our security.

It is duplicating itself on a large scale. When it detects that it's being blocked, it will make 20 copies of itself and each one will have a different signature.

After duplicating, it will infect the host computer but before going into the Restart loop it will send itself to all contact of the host email and website and all other accounts it can find.

At the rate it is growing there will be 5 million more infected computers after 24 hours and it will infect at least 60% Computers after a week or so.

Many of our programmers are currently working overtime to crack its code and make an anti-virus for it, but we are having massive difficulties because we don't know what type of technology is used in it and to understand it we will need at least 2 to 3 weeks."

Having said all this, the expert sat down but all others had gloom on their faces.

"Old Meng can't you hurry because if other companies were to crack it first we would lose a massive amount of users." The chairman said.

"It's not that we don't want to, it's just that we can't and I can assure you that no one can solve it in less time than us unless they are its creator."

After hearing this the Chairman contemplated a bit then nodded while saying "ok you try your best and crack it as fast as you can".

Similar meetings happened in many internet security companies and all the experts in those companies said the same thing.

3 days passed and now statistics showed that 30 million computers were affected by the virus and now many internet companies announced that they have progressed in cracking the code and that this virus is called "Hypnos" and was created by a group who called themselves "Seekers of Knowledge".

Now a quarter of the world was without Computers and many websites were down because their servers were also affected by the "Hypnos".

Many newspapers and media houses called this "The dark age of Digital World".

The U.S had added "Seekers of Knowledge" to its most-wanted list and called them terrorists.

While all the world was discussing countermeasures against"Hypnos", the mastermind behind all this was sitting in his room while furiously typing on his laptop.

No one could ever imagine that the "Seekers of Knowledge '' organization which the whole world was looking for, Its creator and sole member was a student who had just finished his 1st year in university.

He was currently modifying the anti-virus that he had made and was removing any similarities that it had with Hypnos he could think of so that he could sell it and earn money from it.

When he thought about how to earn money, this was the easiest and fastest way for him to earn money.

He knew if he were to sell it as it was, many would be able to see the similarities it had with Hypnos and he would be caught, and he knew after that his life would be miserable.

So he modified the program and removed any advanced technologies he could think of because he wanted to give the feeling that he had developed this software just by chance.

It was not a kill code for the Hypnos but more like a blocker which would stop it from infecting a computer but it couldn't fix an already infected PC.

After developing the software now he had to think about which company he should sell this to because he wanted to earn money legally so that he had proof about how he got so much money when he started his own company.

After searching for a while he chose a company which he thought was the best.
