Gaming Sword Magician

Chapter 4: Awakening Class Weapons and a system

Whittaker stood calmly on the awakening symbol with his eyes closed. He was an intelligent young man and knew that following the instruction of the master awakened is necessary if he wants to successfully undergo the awakening ceremony.

The Master awakened was impressed by the prompt action of Whittaker, who wore commoner clothes. Normally, the children will curiously ask him some questions before doing as he said, but not in the case of the boy in front of him!

The Master awakened placed his palms on the insignia in front of him. A wave of divine energy surged from his palm into the wide magic symbol. Traveling through the magic symbol, it reached the inscription craved on God's statue.

The inscription absorbed the divine energy and then they activated!

Right at that moment, a gentle seven-colored light blinded the Hall of Awakening. It shone on the magical symbol upon which Whittaker stood with eyes closed.

His eyes remained closed, yet he found himself standing in a seven-colored plane. Around him, elemental particles of different colors hovered.

"Don't panic. Do your best to concentrate on the elemental particles. Absorb any particles that willfully move towards you!" The Master Awakened advised Whittaker.

Following his instruction, Whittaker concentrated his attention on these particles.

Unknown to all, the black pendant hidden beneath Whittaker's snowy-hair shone with a mystical glint. The mystical glint shoved itself into Whittaker's body.

[Night's Will Gaming System Successfully Bound With Host] To Whittaker's surprise, an alarming alien screen opened in his vision.

"Who are you?" He internally said as his eyes opened up.

A reply came in the form of a notification pop up, [Night's Will system]

He was troubled yet kept his calm while facing this alien, as he didn't want to disturb his awakening ceremony.

He was keeping his calm until a character screen popped up in front of his eyes.

He gazed at the stats screen in marvel. When his gaze reached the Mana devouring hairs, a detailed description of the ability popped up.

[Mana devouring hairs. (Passive ability) Requirement: Strands of hair. Effects: Hardens the hair under threat. Stores mana in the hairs which increases total MP. Max mana store able in hairs is 100 units.]

'So that's why Mother Lin couldn't cut my hair short!' Whittaker understood why nothing could cut his hair.

As he thought that a new message popped up.

[Detected! The user is undergoing an awakening ceremony. Do you want to awaken another, a very special Class weapon?]

[Yes/No]

Enticed by the Night's Will Gaming System message, he intently gazed at "Yes". A free class weapon, who wouldn't want one?

The system took his gaze as an answer and the awakening of another Class weapon initiated.

To his surprise, every single one of the particles in his surrounding rushed towards his body.

A mellow, soul rejuvenating, and body comforting energy filled up his body. His body sucked in all the elemental particles in the surrounding. A seal seemed to have broken, and a piece of the void emerged within his mind. The void is commonly called Soul space. He could slightly feel the soul space.

'It's probably because I opened my eyes' And so, he closed his eyes. Now, he could see what his soul space looked like. His soul space was a vast expanse of deep blue sea, inside of which, two Class weapon shone with their enchanting lights. A snowy book and a seven-colored sword.

The light of the inscriptions dimmed in the awakening Hall, in turn, Whittaker's body produced a seven-colored light.

The Master awakened was disappointed at this turn of events. The kid in front had absorbed all seven types of elemental particles. This was an utter disappointment!

In this world, a class weapon that possesses a single elemental attribute is classified as the best. More specifically, it's classified as an S-rank class weapon. The rank decreases with the increase in the element they possess. A weapon that possesses two elemental attributes is classified as an A-ranked class weapon. This goes on and on, until the F-rank.

The kid in front has absorbed all seven elemental particles. So, he is sure to give rise to a class weapon that possesses seven elements. More specifically, an F-ranked Class weapon.

The Master Awakened has already lost all interest in the kid in front of him. A person with an F-ranked class weapon didn't fare better than mere mortals in the awakened continent.

Before the Master awakened could continue with his assumptions, Whittaker's class weapon materialized in front of his elderly eyes.

Right then, the young boy's silver crystalline eyes also open. Reflected in those jewel-like eyes were a snowy spellbook and its effect.

[Class Weapon: il Gelo Libro Delgi incantesimi]

A side message pooped up. [Main class unlocked: Frost mage]

[Stats increased,

Int +1

Endurance +1]

[Due to becoming a frost mage an F-ranked Spell is awarded to the User.]

[Spell: Frost bolt (F-ranked)]

[To see info please intently gaze at the name of the spell]

He was lost in bliss as he saw the beautiful class weapon that identifies him as a mage. Furthermore, he felt another Class weapon in his soul space.

The Master's awakened mouth opened in shock, his white beard dangles in mid-air just like his saggy balls. "How is this possible? The boy absorbed all seven types of elemental particles, yet he awakened a frost spellbook. Did my eyes played a trick on me?" He exclaimed.

"Frost spellbook, old mister, is this the name of my class weapon?" Whittaker inquired. The name written on the notification message was not comprehensible by him, since it was written in a completely different language than English.

"Yes, it's an A-ranked Class weapon. Among the A-ranked class weapon, it's one of the rarest. Frost is a Rare Fusion element made by fusing Ice and Storm. A frost spellbook will allow you to cast Ice and Storm-related spell as you become stronger. Young boy, your future is extremely bright." The Master Awakened replied after a moment of silence. His beady eyes kindly stared at Whittaker. Internally, Whittaker had already become his prey. It was as if he was gonna gobble up Whittaker at all costs.

"Wait here for a moment," the Master Awakened said to Whittaker, who stood still in confusion.

The kind-faced old man patted his hand in his pockets and internal robe in search of a letter.

"Ah, where did I put it?" he muttered. Whittaker didn't pay any attention to the old man, as he was preoccupied with something else.

"Here it is!" The Master Awakened pulled out the latter from his breast pocket.

Wanting to somehow give it to Whittaker, he said, "Boy, this is a recommendation letter. You can directly join the Frost Fall Royal Academy without the need to follow any procedure. And yes, you don't even need to pay the admission or the yearly semester fee. You will study free of course, for the next three years!"

"Really? I really don't have to pay any kind of fee?" Whittaker asked in glee.

The old man nodded.

Excited, Whittaker instantly snatched the recommendation letter from the old man's hand.

"Good kid, the First-year semester of the Royal Frost Academy will start tomorrow. So you better deal with your matters today. The Frost Fall Academy is a boarding school. No tardiness will be tolerated!" The kind-old tone remained calm, yet it carried mightiness in it.

"Yes, Old mister! I will immediately head out to the Royal Frost Academy after I leave here." Whittaker replied. His family didn't have the money to send him to an Academy as prestigious as the Royal Frost Academy. So this meant a lot to him.

Happily, Little Whittaker danced in joy.

"Ok, you can go." The Master Awakened said as he gently patted Whittaker's head.

Before going away, Whittaker had an important matter to deal with. The kind-faced old man seemed extremely experienced in the matter of Awakened. So, he can probably help him.

"Old Mister, can a person awakens two Class Weapons?" Whittaker asked.

The old man shook his head in refusal, but then he nodded. "Yes, they can, but since the early years of the Awakened continent, only a blessed few had awakened more than one Class Weapon. They can be counted on one hand. Actually, there are only five, and one of them was the founder of the Water Kingdom!"

"Then from now on, everyone will have to use two hands if they want to count the number of Awakened who had awakened Two Class weapons," Whittaker said as he extended his right hand.

A seven-colored sword formed in his hand. This was probably the super-rare weapon given by the system.

New notifications popped up!

[Class Weapon: Rusty sword]

A side message pooped up, [Side-class awakened: Rainbow swordsman]

[Stats increased

Strength +1

Vitality +2]

[Due to becoming a rainbow swordsman, an F-ranked skill has been awarded to the User]

[Skill: Chop (F-ranked)]

[To see info please intently gaze at the name of the skill]

"Eh?" the Master Awakened gazed down. For the second time in a single day, his mouth opened in shock.

With a shocked face, he said, "Two... you have two class weapons!"

Contrary to the old man's wild actions, Whittaker gave a simple reaction, a simple nod. At the time of Awakening, Whittaker had awakened two-class weapons. A Frost spellbook, an A-ranked class weapon, and A seven-colored sword, an F-ranked class weapon.

The Master Awakened shock died soon. He was glad that he didn't die. He was an old man with a fragile heart, but this young boy was intent on shocking him, again and again.

"Boy, it's extremely rare for a person to awaken two-class weapons but your sword has seven elemental attributes. It's an F-ranked weapon. You should focus on your Frost spellbook, and forget about this F-ranked class weapon. Your prospects will be brighter if you focus on the best that you have. Furthermore, it will be best if you don't expose your seven-colored second class weapons to others. That way you will avoid embarrassment." The kind-faced old man said.

Whittaker had some common-knowledge about Class weapons. He knew that F-ranked weapons were held in disdain by every awakener.

He agreed with the old man's words and decided to not show the sword to anyone so that he can avoid embarrassment but he was internally sad. After all, the seven-colored sword was also his class weapon, even if it's an F-ranked.

Anyways, he was dead set on his decision to not tell others about his F-ranked class weapon.

"Okay, now you can go!" The master-awakened sends Whittaker away.

"Goodbye, Old mister," Whittaker said while waving his hand at the old man. The old man waved back.

"Frost spellbook! Seven-colored sword!" Whittaker yelled calmly.

With his shout, both of his class weapons became incorporeal and came back to his newly formed soul space.

Unknown to both the old man and Whittaker, there was a four-block seal on the handle of the sword. Some words were written between the seal. intently gazing at them, one could read, "Sin Clair!

As he was walking away, a hint of worry was shown on his face. The worry was caused by the system. Whittaker was an intelligent child. He knew that telling someone else about this alien in his head will cause him and his family a lot of trouble. He could also be labeled as a Heathen who is possessed by a demon by the church of light. Anyone who is possessed by a demon is hunted down by the holy paladin. Their end fate is being burned at the stake, a mesmerizing public display.

That's why he didn't expose Night Will's system to the Master awakened.
