Gangster System: I Will Become The Greatest Gangster!

Chapter 14 Bang! Bang! Bang!

"My brother was right, you cops really need to learn your place, and running your own gang is hard, but I guess it's over now," the boss of the Black Hand Gang narrated.

He was still relaxed, even after killing one of his own subordinates, and after everything that had happened, he still had a smile on his face.

The way he spoke was as if he was very capable, and from what he said, his brother also seemed to be a criminal, but Xavier wasn't intimidated in the slightest.

If the system's information was true, then the minor connection he had to the triad was probably his brother, but since it was merely a minor connection, Xavier didn't have much to worry about.

What was more important was getting some medical attention as quickly as he could, and preferably somewhere secret where the cops can't get to him or find any traces of him.

-

Getting up, despite acting calm, the boss of the Black Hand Gang was clearly worried about getting arrested as he made his way towards the window.

He had committed murder and his illegal operations would be exposed after the cops raided the place, so of course, he was anxious.

From the sounds of the sirens, they were less than a minute away, and if he didn't start moving then, it would be hard to get away.

Not wasting any time, he quickly started making his escape, but he wasn't planning on letting them off the hook.

"See you later, assholes," he called out as he fired a few times toward the cop lady before jumping out of the window.

From the state that Xavier's body was in, his death was unavoidable in the Black Hand Gang Boss's eyes, and even if he didn't die from blood loss, he wouldn't be able to get away from the cops.

So his fate was sealed, which left the cop lady.

For all the trouble they caused him, he wanted them both to die, and they forced him to give up on everything he had built from the ground up.

Such a grudge couldn't be cleared unless he killed them.

He wasn't confident about beating them in a fight, and there was no point in doing so with the cops closing in on their location, which left him with one option.

-

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Firing at the cop, aiming accurately at her body, the Black Hand Gang boss didn't wait to see the results of his actions as he landed in the alleyway behind his bar before bolting away.

He had a car parked around the corner, and rushing into it as the cops neared the entrance of the Oriental Bar, he had already begun driving off by the time they had arrived.

The chances of getting caught or being linked to what had happened were low, and he was planning on going into hiding with his brother anyway, as he cursed his luck.

There were many possibilities for that masked figure's motives and he was quite capable, but both of them were done for, or so he assumed, as he made his way out of the city before ditching the car and getting rid of his gun.

-

As soon as he reached the window and aimed his gun at the cop lady to end her life, Xavier's body moved on its own, and despite the state it was in, acted faster than her.

Jumping onto her and pushing her down, she slammed onto the ground and after hearing the gunshots; she believed her death was inevitable.

Her legs felt fixed in place and all she could do was close her eyes as she embraced her death.

However, waiting a few seconds and opening her eyes, she didn't feel any pain and Xavier was lying on top of her with his hands resting on her breasts as he drenched her in blood.

"Get off me!" she wailed reflexively with her face flushed red.

However, seeing that he was unconscious and losing so much blood, she was more worried about his safety.

Pushing him off her, she pulled off his sweatshirt to see that his body was covered in slashes and was beaten badly, while he also had a gunshot wound in his shoulder.

"He took a bullet for me and saved my life," she uttered in shock.

Her body had frozen up once the gun was aimed at her and from how coldly he had reacted to death, she thought that Xavier was a bad person, but the fact that he saved her made her change her mind.

And to add to that, pulling down his mask, she saw that he was so young and likely still a teenager.

'How did someone so young get into this predicament?' was the first thought that came to mind as she took off her belt and began administering emergency first aid.

Tying it tightly around the wound on his shoulder, thankfully it was only a flesh wound, she then used his sweatshirt to put pressure on the deep slashes that had been dealt to his sides.

Then, she grabbed a bottle of vodka that she knew could be used as a disinfectant, and doused his wounds in it, causing him a sharp jolting pain.

Jumping up, it took him a moment to regain composure and realise what had happened as he tried to get up.

"What are you doing? Stay down and don't move," she yelled.

The more he moved, the more blood he would lose and the more likely he was to die.

"I can't... The police... My mother."

Getting up, despite the excruciating pain his body was in, his first thoughts were how to get out of there and get rid of his blood that was at the scene.

Staggering over to the window as he pulled his ski mask back up, the cop lady went to stop him, but he glared at her and yelled at her to back off.

"Just stay. I can vouch for you and get you to the hospital," she urged.

"I can't... You're a cop and I just committed a crime in front of you. If you want to do me a favor, cover for me with the cops when you make your report, since my blood is at the scene," he said to her before jumping out of the window.

His fatigued legs were jolted with pain upon landing in the alleyway and he could barely walk straight, but the thought of getting arrested frightened him more than anything.

The impact rattled his entire body and made his injuries even worse. However, he immediately began running as fast as his legs could carry him.

It wasn't the prison time that scared him, but leaving his mother alone that did.

Thinking about how much she would suffer alone, needing to fend for herself, and how broken she would be to see the son she sacrificed so much for, be in prison, Xavier couldn't bear to let that come to be.

Hearing blaring sirens and cops starting to storm the building, he knew that every second counted as he leaned against the wall of a nearby building and continued onwards.

His body felt heavy and sluggish, with his body clearly on the verge of collapsing as he was drenched in water under the heavy rain.

It felt like he was running in a thick swamp and his head was banging as his body quickly lost blood. While the heavy rain merely added to his struggle, making his clothes heavier and overwhelming his senses.

He didn't last long.

Within a minute, everything became black and he couldn't move his body anymore, as he collapsed onto the ground.
