I have a bunch of players on Earth

Chapter 18

Recruitment Fair!

For Xiye’s return, it could be considered quite coincidental as it was near the date of the Federation college examination. It was also the graduation period for the various large academies and universities. When he thought of this, Xiye was silently pleased. As expected, he was the son of heaven. Leaving aside the fact that he obtained such good resources, even the timing of his return was opportune.

Xiye’s consciousness was then transported to a virtual network. In this place, a large-scaled recruitment event was held. The ones in the lead were those old overlords who lived for a few eras. The amount of traffic they attracted was extremely great, causing many talents who just graduated from the various schools to be drawn here.

Initially, Xiye planned to hire veterans. After all, although graduates were cheap, they were also inexperienced. What he needed most now were instructors. He naturally needed those with a certain amount of teaching experience to build up a good foundation for his treasured subjects. Clearly, fresh graduates couldn’t satisfy Xiye’s request.

But there was no other solution. High-graded wood elves in the market were easily snatched up, and they were harder to recruit compared to green titans instructors. Because of the wood elf gene’s low adaptability rate and expensive school fees, matured wood elves didn’t come cheap although they were fresh graduates. And for the majority of overlords, after successfully recruiting them, they wouldn’t allow the wood elves to change jobs. Xiye inclined his head and stared at the pricing list. A seventh and eighth-grade wood elf needed a yearly salary of over ten million deity dollars and if he wanted to hire them, he still needed to first pay a non-refundable transfer fee!

What joke was this? Over ten million deity dollars? With it, this daddy could employ 10,000 dark goblins!

There was no solution to this. There were over ten thousand wood elves in his base. He needed an elf instructor; hence, he could only come to this recruitment fair and see if there were any suitable students that he could persuade, as well as wanting to hire an assistant and so on.

Right now, the recruitment fair wasn’t open yet. Hence, many overlords started chatting with each other. Xiye glanced at them and immediately could tell that it was very clear that the recruitment fair was divided into two zones. The areas of those grand overlords were clearly more luxurious, while his own area at the other zone looked much more destitute. In addition, grand overlords wouldn’t come here personally. They would directly send people down to handle the recruitment matters for them.

And for those in Xiye’s zone, everyone here was poor overlords. Now that no jobseekers were here yet, they also started to engage in idle chatter.

“Yo, brother. Are you new?” Just when Xiye was setting up his booth, the overlord beside him took the initiative to strike up a conversation.

Xiye’s face that was not covered by his helmet tightened. He asked, “How did you know?”

Could it be that there were the words ‘I am a newbie’ written on his helmet?

He must get to the bottom of this or if the jobseekers could tell that he was a newbie, his recruitment strength would be lowered.

“I can tell just from how solemn you look. Also, look at how you set up your store? In addition, check out your pricing list for the various jobs. You will pay an assistant so highly at $3,000 a month? Evidently, you don’t know the market rate…”

“Too much?” Xiye was startled. “Could it be that this recruitment fair wasn’t targeted at those people from reputable schools?”

“So what if they are from reputable schools?” That person rolled his eyes. “No matter how famous the school is, aren’t the jobseekers just a batch of fresh graduates? If you are already offering such a high pay, can you afford to increase their salary in the future? The lower their starting pay the better, this is common knowledge. Who is the teacher that taught you about human resources?”

When he heard this, Xiye embarrassedly lowered his head. “Senior, you are correct.”

That person saw how humble Xiye was and nodded satisfyingly as he continued, “Don’t say that I, as a senior, ain’t taking care of you. The recruitment fair is about to open soon, so I’ll give you another piece of advice. For these fresh graduates, they are the best to con. Talk to them about their dreams, and you will be able to lower their pay to the pay of a dishwasher. After that, talk to them about their future prospect and mention things like benefits and bonuses, and they would be too embarrassed to continue asking about the pay. As for the work timing? Just tell them the working hours are flexible. As long as the picture you paint is vast and pretty enough, how could you not be able to afford to hire a bunch of students that are of good quality and cheap?”

“Logical!” Xiye felt that it was true as he nodded.

That person laughed contentedly. Just as he wanted to continue, the sound of a bell rang out. After that, the voice of the customer service officer rang out in reminder, “The recruitment fair will begin three minutes later. All overlords, please make your preparations.”

“Alright, let’s chat again next time.” Upon hearing that the fair was about to start, that overlord quickly returned to his store and sat there with a straight face, looking extremely dignified. In addition to his heavenly deity’s aura, it was basically impossible to see that this was a trash boss that was preparing to hoodwink fresh graduates.

After the other party went back, Xiye hurriedly changed the salary he listed.

Looking for warrior instructors that specialized in weaponry: Requires the jobseekers to graduate from a first-class weapon-specialized academy. The list of comprehensive universities includes the Ivy Alliance Academy. After converting to a full-time instructor, there will be a fund to purchase the interstellar seventh-grade insurance and housing!

Looking for warrior instructors that specialized in berserkers: Requires the jobseekers to graduate from a first-class warrior-specialized academy. Priority will be given if you are from the Hellroar Race, Black Warrior Race, and Vastaya Bear Race. For the Werewolf Race, the requirements can be relaxed to a second-class academy. The skill berserker rage must be trained to the four stars level, and you will be prioritized even more if you have a recommendation letter from a reputable instructor. Monthly salary: $4,000. Internship period: 3 years. After converting to a full-time instructor, there will be a fund to purchase the interstellar seventh-grade insurance and housing!

Looking to hire five instructors for each field, namely from the Federation Department of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Department of Machinery, Department of Chemistry, Department of Biology, Department of Agronomy, Applied Chemistry Department, Department of Engineering, and Department of Medicine. Requires for jobseekers to graduate from a first-class education college, with first-grade teaching qualifications and a fourth-grade certification of your respective field. Those with training experience and recommendation letters from reputable instructors will be given the priority. Monthly salary: $3,000. Internship period: 5 years. After converting to a full-time instructor, there will be a fund to purchase the interstellar eighth-grade insurance and housing. (P.S.: If you are from Hicks Technology System or the Rune Clan, the payment will be doubled. After converting to a full-time instructor, there will be a fund to purchase the interstellar sixth-grade insurance and housing!)

Looking for mecha controller instructors and arcane arts instructors. Priority will be given to those who graduated from the first-class academies. Monthly salary: $5,000. Internship period: 1 year. After converting to a full-time instructor, there will be a fund to purchase the interstellar sixth-grade insurance and housing! (P.S.: Those with the mecha controller certification will receive a starting salary of $20,000, and those with arcane arts certification will receive a starting salary of $15,000.)

Looking for wood elf instructors. Requirement: Proficient in elf evolution secret arts and can correctly guide three evolution paths and more. Monthly salary: $10,000. For wood elves that have a specialty in ancient bloodlines, you can negotiate your salary directly!

Staring at the conditions he put up earlier, Xiye was pondering how much he should reduce it by…

Originally, the conditions of his eighth-grade life planet were considered more arduous. If he wished to recruit students from reputable schools, he was prepared to pay out high salaries. But after the reminder from that senior, he felt that the amount was truly too high. If the starting pay was so high, wouldn’t he feel heartache when he increased their pay in the future?

In addition, how could fresh graduates have the qualifications to be picky?

After thinking about it, he was wondering if he should halve everything? Wait...he was already providing lodgings made by the Bronze Race. Should he deduct another $200 off?

Would it be a little too ruthless?

Or should he first take reference from the store next to him?

After pondering, he silently walked out and glanced at the store beside him. “Hiring warrior instructors. Requirement: To graduate from a first-class specialized school. Priority will be given to those who specialized in three types of weapons or more. Those with battle qi lower than the fifth-grade, please excuse yourself. List of races that won’t be employed for this job: Centaurs, Minotaurs, Hydras. Priority will be given to the Blackgold Race, Dawn Race, Starlight Race, and Elves specialized in archery or Night Elves…”

(There’s even discrimination? This senior is truly confident…)

Xiye continued looking. Finally, under the long list of requirements, he saw the portion regarding payment written in small characters. Monthly salary: $700!

Damn!

(Truly this salary is fit for a dish-washer. Is there a need to be so black-hearted? Can this even recruit anyone?)

(Seems like this overlord has been too kind…)

Just as Xiye was hesitating whether he should follow this example, an elegant-sounding bell chime rang out. After that, he heard the A.I. voice reminder. “Jobseekers, please follow the arrangement set up by the staff on the scene and enter the recruitment fair in an orderly manner. Please do not cut the queue or congest upon a spot. If you maliciously cut the queue and are discovered, you will immediately be expelled from here. We will also record this atrocious behavior in your resume. So please, job seekers are to comply with the orderly arrangements…”

Xiye adjusted his expression. He took a deep breath and hung up the pricing list that he didn’t have time to change. This is the first time he was recruiting people using the identity of a boss. He felt somewhat emotional. He then copied the mannerisms of the overlord beside him, sitting up straight while exuding the imposing aura of someone from the heavenly deity race.

Even if he gave more, so be it. In this case, his salary would be more competitive when he encountered good seedlings.

Xiye contemplated.

But after a short amount of time passed, he would discover that he was simply still too naive...
