Meteorite Jade Scandal

Chapter 20 - Story' From Gil

There are times when sacrifice is really needed. But, the sacrifice of the people we love, it really hurts. More painful than when your chest was pierced by the sword 'Aichmiros'. Vin Greyrat's sword.

The word 'sacrifice' always reminded Gil of the man he protected. Yes, the man he had protected with all his life.

Gil is very sincere. He never expected his brother to sacrifice for him. But in reality, it was his brother who always sacrificed for Gil.

Gil still remembers Yushen's story.

"You've sacrificed enough so far, Vin. I won't let you get hurt like Sifeng did," Gil said softly.

He equated Sifeng's position with his little brother. Vin gets hurt too for protecting Gil.

Gil approached Vin who was sitting limp in the corner of the bed.

"Vin, what are you doing? Are you still sick?"

"No, My Brother. I just want to go to war with our brother, Glen Greyrat."

"Don't be stupid, Vin! You're still hurt, and that's also because you protected me. I don't want you to sacrifice for the umpteenth time, Vin!"

"But, we can't hide like this, My Brother." Vin is getting restless.

"The most important thing for us is your safety, Vin. So, now rest. Don't think about what is happening in our country!"

Gil reassured him while occasionally gently stroking Vin's long hair.

Sifeng, who had been watching them earlier, was intrigued. Sifeng slowly approached Gil and Vin.

"Does my arrival bother you?" asked Sifeng, kindly.

Sifeng wanted to take Vin to go look for Yushen earlier. But, Vin said that it would be noon. It's still morning.

Gil greeted Sifeng with his trademark smile. "Of course not to bother, Brother."

"Sorry, I accidentally passed in front of your room and listened to your conversation," Sifeng said pleasantly

"It doesn't matter, Sifeng. I just wanted to tell you why we were trapped in this Human World."

[Flash back]

There was a secret meeting in King Glen Greyrat's special room. The king who ruled the Gefroren Country.

"My Brother Glen, what strategy do you plan for tomorrow's war against the Nation's rebellion?" A man asked the man in front of him.

"We will mobilize all soldiers. Don't involve the people in tomorrow's war! Evacuate all our citizens! And most importantly lock Vin in his room! Don't let Vin join the war!" replied the man firmly.

Klang!!

A voice startled all the Gods in the meeting room.

"Vin? Why are you here?" The lord king Gefroren approached the source of the sound. It turned out to be his little brother who had been eavesdropping on their conversation earlier.

"Huh, you guys are great! You guys are hiding something this big from me?! Is my role not that important in this country?" Vin looked at his two elder brothers inquiringly.

Gil walked over to him and stroked Vin's long hair. Yes, this is how Gil shows his affection for his little brother.

"That's not what we mean, Vin! It's all for your safety," said Gil.

"Do you think I'm a God who is only in his teens, unable to go down to the battlefield?" Vin is getting more and more insistent.

"Shut up, Vin! I am the king here and your elder brother! And what I have ordered everyone to carry out! Now, I order you to return to your room! Don't come out until I allow!!" the order of the King who ruled Gefroren, King Glen Greyrat.

Glen Greyrat is the eldest brother of Gil and Vin.

"Brother! Then what use am I here, if I can't help you?!"

"Soldiers take Prince Vin to his room! Now!" King Glen's orders.

"Brother… brother… I… just…."

Vin's voice disappeared as he was dragged away by some soldiers.

"Brothet, weren't you being too hard with Vin earlier?" Gil asked.

"Ah, you always spoil him, Gil!" said King Glen.

"But, he doesn't yet know the reason why we prevented him from joining the war, Brother. Maybe he was discouraged because he thought he was weak and could not join the war."

"Whatever he thinks, it's up to him. I just don't want King Feuer to get Vin," replied King Glen firmly.
