Chapter 106: Extra 3 (Party)

After returning from one mission after another, the people from the seventh squad had said that they should have some fun at a nightclub.

It didn’t take them long for this agreement to be realised. That night, everyone set off from their own homes to head to Li Chun’s friends place that he claims to have ‘very nice lights’.

Before departing, Song Qinglan had trouble finding clothes. He hardly went to such places and also didn’t like to play like this, so he didn’t have any suitable clothes. It was all sports wear on the left side of his wardrobe and shirts and trousers on the right as well as a few ordinary T-shirts. Much of the wardrobe was black, white or grey; high class with a bit of coldness. It didn’t look casual at all.

Ji Yushi was different. After moving in, half of the space here contained his clothes. Although his clothes weren’t fancy and were more on the simpler side, but if you looked closely, you would see that all the details and cuts of his clothes were different. Two clothes that may appear to be similar would actually be completely different in style.

Towards this, Ji Yushi concluded as follows: Since he had been gay for so many years, it was natural that he would be a little more particular in this area.

For young people twenty-five or twenty-six in age, they couldn’t always be so uptight.

When everyone gathered at night, every one of them were more dressed up than the other.

Because he wasn’t going back to work any time soon, Li Chun had even dyed his head and dressed hip-hop style. Even the oldest Old Duan who would usually have an old-fashioned sense of dress had a new look—-He had followed Li Chun to several nightclubs before and had already learnt the tricks.

The two who finally arrived at the nightclub entrance made the entire place brighten up.

They were used to seeing Advisor Ji in the black combat uniform but when they saw him in his own clothes, they knew immediately that he had good tastes.

Ji Yushi wore a beige short sleeved shirt with the top buttons undone and it was paired with a pair of dark cropped trousers and white sneakers. He originally had a very outstanding temperament and appearance but, after dressing up, it was even more eye-catching. He waved at the group from across the road, his expression calm and quiet. There was a scholarly and refined air unique to him.

They had always known that Ji Yushi was good-looking.

But only now did everyone realise how good-looking he really was. As soon as he got out of the car, there were already people watching him.

Song Qinglan stopped the car and opened the door. His appearance suddenly brightened the place up even further. His height itself was already a cheat for him but, with his usual white shirt unbuttoned at the top and his hair combed back to reveal his smooth forehead and sharp features, the rebelliousness and ruffian-like air of his could no longer be contained.

The two stood on the side of the road and waited for a while. When the lights turned green, they both strode over.

Duan Wen cursed, “Damn, this is just an ordinary nightclub. Why are those two gays dressed up so nicely for?”

Duan Wen’s small eyes narrowed. He sighed, “They have already taken down the girls inside but now they want to take down the girls outside too. I pity those naïve and ignorant young girls who don’t know the real truth.”

Just as they were reaching the peak of their complaints.

Song Qinglan who was crossing the road suddenly stretched out his hand and held Ji Yushi’s.

The two held hands with their fingers interlocked. They naturally walked over, ignoring the eyes of other onlookers.

Everyone: “!!!”

Why was this a little sweet?

Li Chun breathed a sigh of relief, “It’s okay, it’s okay. They took the initiative to show that they’re already taken. There probably won’t be any chicks going after them.”

The straight men only had girls in their minds. Tang Le nudged Tang Qi, “Big brother, Chun’er said the girls here are of high-quality. Many white-collar workers nearby like to come and hang out here. You can talk to more girls tonight. Perhaps you may fall in love at first sight.”

Tang Qi who was very disciplined and didn’t want anything to develop in a nightclub said expressionlessly, “Love at first sight? More like a one-night stand.”

“Don’t be shy.” Tang Le said, “When you see a type you like, I will go first and then you can just say that I was you. Sound good?”

Tang Qi:”…..Thanks.”

His younger brother was too stupid, what to do?

The desire for love was written on the faces of these five single dogs.

It was as if they weren’t here to catch up with their teammates, but to go on a blind date.

The two greeted everyone when they arrived in front of them. Song Qinglan asked, “Why aren’t you going in?”

Li Chun, “Isn’t it because of you, boss?”

Song Qinglan found it funny, “Why is it because of me?”

“Every time I invite you out to drink, you don’t come.” Zhou Mingxuan joked, “Afraid that you are too serious and rigid and don’t even know how to enter a nightclub.”

Everyone joked and went in.

Song Qinglan glanced at Ji Yushi beside him. He lowered his head and whispered, “Who the hell doesn’t know? When I went to a nightclub, these people didn’t even know what a nightclub is.”

Ji Yushi couldn’t help but say, “They’re obediently doing their university homework.”

Song Qinglan laughed. He suddenly thought of something and squeezed Ji Yushi’s hand, “Then why didn’t Advisor Ji obediently do his homework at that time?”

Ji Yushi, “In order to go to the bar and let a certain someone watch me.”

Zhou Mingxuan turned back and glared at them, “Hey you two, enough. I don’t want the others to think that we’re all gay!”

The two nodded perfunctorily.

“Yes, yes, I know.”

“Understood, understood.”

*

After passing through a long soundproofed passage, the bouncer opened the door. Deafening music and dazzling lights instantly poured out.

On the large holographic projection, a sexy bunny girl was dancing. The projection was at least seven or eight metres high. She was an electronic version of a live performer. Her sexy moves contrasted greatly with her delicate and retro appearance. The men and women on the dance floor danced along with her and shouted loudly with the music.

Talking here, one wouldn’t be able to hear each other unless they shouted themselves hoarse.

Li Chun’s friend came and settled them at the best seats in the club and very enthusiastically greeted Song Qinglan and Ji Yushi. Everyone didn’t hear clearly what this young man said to them, but when the alcohol was served, they realised that the friend had gifted them their best wine here.

Song Qinglan had said that he would treat them so he naturally wouldn’t let the others spend money.

But that wasn’t the point now. Li Chun had taken the lead in playing a game and the atmosphere around the table had completely heated up.

A dice game. The people present may not be able to beat Ji Yushi.

After going around a lap, he didn’t touch the alcohol at all. He even took the initiative to take a few sips to satisfy himself. Later, Song Qinglan lost two games without any foul play. The old-fashioned drinking game had increased the stakes and he was asked to drink twice the amount.

“That’s too much. Can’t you see that there’s only one of me?” Song Qinglan wanted to find someone to help him but when he looked back, “………..”

Ji Yushi had opened two bottles of beer with each hand.

Everyone cheered.

Song Qinglan didn’t say much. He could only accept his loss.

He tilted his head back and drank a bottle in one go. That smooth move even made the people on the neighbouring table cheer for him.

The only dual wielding player present at the table performed a stunt. Ji Yushi could not only open two bottles of beer at the same time, but he could also juggle the dice. He was like a street busker busking for money to help with his next journey.

“What else can Advisor Ji do?!”

“Amazing!”

Ji Yushi smiled, “It’s very simple. I’ll teach you when I have the chance to.”

No one believed him. How could that be easy?

The music changed. The tempo had slowed down and the people on the dance floor began to dance slowly, face to face.

A waiter brought over a cocktail and gave it to Song Qinglan. Following the waiter’s gestures, a girl in a miniskirt raised a glass at him and blew a kiss.

Everyone: “!!!”

“Hurry and explain!”

“Advisor Ji is going to note it into his little notebook!”

“It’s not too late to refuse!!”

Everyone joked and teased him, but Song Qinglan the involved party didn’t refuse the cocktail.

Ji Yushi next to him was leaning back in his seat. The changing lights illuminated his tall nose and from time to time there would be shadows cast over his face from his long eyelashes. His dark eyes watched him, seemingly very interested.

In front of the girl and everyone else, Song Qinglan leaned in to kiss him on the lips. Amidst the music, he pushed the glass over and said softly, “Margarita. You like it.”

This game was too easy to crack.

After Song Qinglan released his lips, everyone was completely stunned, “This is also okay?!”

Song Qinglan lazily asked, “Why not?”

Everyone: “Advisor Ji?!”

Ji Yushi drank the cocktail bought by someone else, “Tastes pretty good.”

Everyone: “Damn!”

“Advisor Ji, you’ve changed!” Tang Le complained bitterly, “You’re no longer that cool Advisor Ji anymore!”

“Love makes people blind.” Zhou Mingxuan said, “Even celestial beings cannot escape it.”

Li Chun suddenly expressed, “Haa, I still remember back at Guangyuan building when Advisor Ji was pressed against the wall by Song Qinglan with an extremely reluctant expression.”

Ji Yushi paused. The cold liquor had not been completely swallowed.

He was pressed against the wall by Song Qinglan?

That was something that happened between the two of them in the big circle. Based on what they knew, these people who were originally in the Ouroboros mission shouldn’t have memories of this.

After they entered 【Overload】, they were both in different, staggered cycles. They both existed as a point paving the way for the original squad and when the original squad completes the mission, they would disappear, so the original members in the Ouroboros mission shouldn’t remember what happened.

They continued to appear at the anchored point, and, just like what Tianqiong’s parent system requested, they tried to maintain the situation such that it developed the way it originally developed. As long as the final result didn’t change, it wouldn’t affect the timeline.

That is to say, to them who were in the big cycle【Overload】, they who were in Ouroboros were like NPCs. It stood to reason that they shouldn’t have these memories.

Just like the memories of Team A and Team B combining into one, before all of that happened, Ji Yushi only remembered that Team B seemed different, and Song Qinglan also remembered the time when they hid in the power distribution room and Ji Yushi stepped on his foot—-The anchored point had coincidentally coincided such that Song Qinglan was reborn into Team B and became the point in the circle that was extended. All the things he did in that cycle left traces behind in their memories. It was just that the memory of himself being pressed against the wall should only belong to the big circle, to the two of them in【Overload】.

Seeing Ji Yushi’s confusion, Duan Wen added, “You didn’t see it Advisor Ji? That was probably you two from another cycle. At that time, it was on the corridor of the 115th floor. We saw from the distance Cap Song pressing you against the wall and even now we still didn’t know what you two were doing. We just felt that you were going to punch him.”

Duan Wen looked at Song Qinglan and said, “I’m not lying. Cap Song also saw it!”

Ji Yushi understood now. At that time, Song Qinglan was kicked off the building by his other self and was caught while he was falling to his death by him.

They were talking in the corridor at the time and there was indeed another Song Qinglan looking at them from a distance.

Turns out, traces of this had been left in the original timeline.

It was just that his other self wasn’t present.

But wait a minute——-

Ji Yushi suddenly reacted. If Duan Wen, Li Chun and co remembered, didn’t it mean that Song Qinglan also remembered?

“What were we doing?” Song Qinglan bullshitted, “Most likely Advisor Ji wasn’t being obedient and I as the captain was performing my duty of educating him.”

Everyone sneered, “If you’re taking advantage of him, then just admit that you were. No need to word it so nicely!!”

A new round of drinking started.

Song Qinglan held Ji Yushi’s fingers, intentionally or unintentionally scratching his palm. He looked very calm.

When Tang Qi lost and was being urged noisily by the others to ask a meek looking girl for her number, Song Qinglan turned his head and leaned close to Ji Yushi’s ear, “I saw it.”

One could imagine what Song Qinglan’s mood was like at the time.

After all, the Song Qinglan at the time was completely different from the current Song Qinglan. He was still straight.

Ji Yushi raised the corners of his lips and asked, “Where you shocked?”

Song Qinglan, “Not really shocked.”

He couldn’t help but laugh at his thoughts at the time, “I didn’t even see myself kiss you on the tip of your nose and just thought that I really was teaching you a lesson.”

“Boom———”

The music stopped abruptly. Their vision went black. Only the lingering sound of music still hung in the air for half a second or two.

The entire place had suddenly darkened and even all the sounds were gone. Everyone stood still for half a second before suddenly becoming rowdy again.

The power was out.

Li Chun cursed, “The fuck? What’s going on?!”

Tang Qi complained, “Chun’er was right. The lights really are good here.”

Everyone laughed.

Li Chun became angry out of embarrassment. He turned on the flashlight on his phone and ran to find his friend to see what was going on.

Along the way, he accidentally bumped into a man and quickly stopped to apologise.

Everyone began to take out their phones. For most of the people here, having a power outage at a nightclub was probably something they had encountered for the first time. Many people complained and left their seats and the dance floor. Occasionally there would be sounds of glass or alcohol bottles accidentally being smashed.

Duan Wen’s phone vibrated. He opened the message. It was a message from the girl he had a blind date with last time.

Zhou Mingxuan and Tang Qi were helping out. In a situation like this, order must be maintained, or a stampede may occur.

Several emergency lights had turned on, but it was still very dark. Tang Le remembered something, “Is Advisor Ji afraid of the dark? Cap Song, why don’t you two first—–”

When he turned back, he saw Advisor Ji, the one who was rumoured to be afraid of the dark such that the Ning City branch made an exception and didn’t give him night shifts, was currently whispering this and that to their captain, looking very relaxed.

The two continued to whisper to each other, not caring about this small interlude.

An unexpected situation and a slightly noisy environment.

The various coloured lights coming from everyone’s phones looked like a sea of stars.

Perhaps in the near future, they would embark onto a new journey and once again complete their duties as the Guardians of time and space. They would witness all sorts of strange and unbelievable things and venture into all sorts of places, all for the sake of protecting their ordinary and warm life in this time and space.

But right now, they weren’t in a hurry to go anywhere, because they had their friends and lover by their sides.

The party had only just begun.
