Chapter 27: The Purpose We Know

Chapter 27 The Purpose We Know

More than three hours passed.

The conference room door was still closed.

At the entrance of the conference room, Cai Xiaowei, Zhang Lan, and the others were secretly anxious. It was already 12:30 pm, but there was no sign of it ending.

“Xiaowei, why don’t you go in and remind President Li that it’s time to arrange for the guests to eat?” Zhang Lan looked at Cai Xiaowei and asked for help.

Cai Xiaowei looked troubled. However, it was indeed about time. As an assistant secretary, it was her duty to remind Li Yi.

Cai Xiaowei nodded and opened the conference door a crack. She walked in.

“This mode of operation is capable of approaching a target function of many numerical types, exhibiting a special kind of adaptability…”

Cai Xiaowei walked into the conference room. President Li was explaining non-stop on the podium. Dozens of people below the stage were listening intently and taking notes attentively, as if they did not notice her entering

Seeing this, Cai Xiaowei quickly walked to Li Yi’s side and reminded him softly, “President Li, it’s almost time. Why don’t we let the guests eat and rest first? We can resume in the afternoon.”

Hearing this, Li Yi immediately stopped. The people listening to the class were all very successful. This proved that the effect of this class was already very successful.

The main purpose of this lecture was to show them how advanced the new algorithm was, to recruit some people to assist him in developing the simulation system together, rather than teaching them the new algorithm for free.

It was indeed time to end it.

“Yes!” Li nodded and smiled at the crowd. “Time passes so quickly,” he announced. “I’m sure everyone is hungry and tired. Our company has arranged a sumptuous lunch for everyone. Please follow our staff to move the dining area.”

With that, Li started packing up his notebook while Cai Xiaowei jogged to open the door.

“Teacher Lee, there’s something I didn’t catch. Can you describe again the cyclic matrix eigenvalue form of the multidimensional algorithm?”

“Teacher Li, I also have a question. I didn’t understand the logic of the entanglement algorithm. Can you please repeat it!”

“Teacher Li…”

Li Yi announced that the class was over. The next moment, the venue was in chaos. Everyone, who had accumulated a pile of questions, asked Li Yi, who was on the podium.

Li Yi smiled apologetically at everyone. “I’m sorry! I’m a little hungry. Let’s talk about these questions after the meal!”

With that, Li walked off the podium with his notebook and left without further ado.

They all sighed as he left and began to gather their things and follow him out of the conference room.

“So many algorithms at once. I failed to understand a lot of them. Will there be another class this afternoon?”

“Yeah! The more I listen, the more questions there are. It’s too suspenseful.” “Each of these algorithms is good enough to be published in top international journals, Teacher Li is amazing.”

“Teacher Li doesn’t care about those empty titles!”

“That’s right! Otherwise, he wouldn’t have developed the challenge system.”

Everyone started talking and discussing. They could roughly guess why Li Yi had called them for an offline meeting.

Since Li Yi did not care about reputation, he naturally focused on real profits! Otherwise, he would not have founded Muzi Technology. Its development was very rapid and it already had the potential to become the leader of the industry.

The people here had all stood out from tens of thousands of programmers, and their technical standards were top-notch in the industry. Now, Li Yi had gathered them here for a purpose that went without saying.

“Old Wang, how is it? Do you plan to stay? Teacher Li is so awesome. The project he developed must be amazing!”

“Sigh! I came on leave. My company treats me well!”

“Me too! I’ve already settled down in Shanghai. I don’t intend to work in Guangzhou!”

“This is a new direction for technology. It’s such a great opportunity. Are you guys really willing to leave?”

“I have a headache. If I don’t work with Teacher Li, I definitely won’t be able to figure out those algorithmic problems.”

“Aye! If I’d known better, I wouldn’t have had to suffer so much.”

Everyone packed up and followed the staff to the dining room for dinner. They formed groups in twos and threes. They were in a dilemma and the discussion was endless.

Everyone was devastated that they had to choose their future again after an offline gathering

Muzi Technology had booked a restaurant nearby to entertain them.

Cai Xiaowei, Zhang Lan, and a group of staff were in charge of leading the way. Listening to their discussion, they all had strange expressions on their faces.

“Xiaowei, what did President Li say to them? He actually made them stay?” Zhang Lan suppressed her excitement and whispered to Cai Xiaowei.

Before inviting this group of people, Zhang Lan specially paid attention to their backgrounds.

In the end, Zhang Lan was very shocked. Almost everyone on the list that Li Yi had provided had graduated from a prestigious school. They either had master’s degrees or PhDs. Most of them held important positions in large technology companies and were all top talents.

However, Li Yi only used one class to make this group of people want to jump ship and join Muzi Technology.

Zhang Lan could not imagine this outcome.

Did President Li cast a spell on them? How was he able to so easily recruit dozens of top talents for the company?

At this moment, Zhang Lan felt that her career was about to reach its peak.

“I think he was teaching them. They all called President Li Teacher Li.” Cai Xiaowei had a strange expression on her face as she talked to Zhang Lan in a low voice.

“What? Lecture? President Li is teaching them? Really?!” Zhang Lan was dumbfounded and asked in disbelief.

If this group of people was so skilled, how could President Li give them a lecture? They even respectfully called President Li Teacher Li. If this is true, then how skilled was President Li?

“Really! I heard it with my own ears!” Cai Xiaowei nodded solemnly and said with admiration.

Hearing this, Zhang Lan was enlightened. She really could not understand how President Li, who was only 21 or 22 years old, could be so powerful that these people called him Teacher Li.

“By the way, where’s President Li! Why don’t I see him?” Zhang Lan looked around the team but couldn’t find Li Yi.

“President Li isn’t free to come over. He was stopped by an important guest just now and was entertaining him in the office,” Cai Xiaowei explained.

“Oh! Then remember to get a meal for President Li.” Zhang Lan nodded and instructed.

“Yes!” Cai Xiaowei nodded happily.

As they spoke, the group walked into the hotel. More than ten tables were already filled with food and wine, waiting for them to eat.

Zhang Lan led her subordinates from the Human Resources Department and invited everyone to take a seat. These talents were likely to be employees of the company in the future. In order to win over a few more people, her attitude became even more enthusiastic.

Cai Xiaowei did not bother to eat. She found a restaurant waiter to pack three portions of food and brought them back to the company.

At this moment, in the lounge of the President’s office of Muzi Technology…

Li sat across from a man in his fifties. They were having an important conversation.
