My Idle Gaming System

Chapter 1 - A Useless Brother

The Ethereal Realm was truly vast and filled with wonders.

Being larger than many worlds, it was a land filled with magic and fantasy!

The Realm was filled with City-States spread across three extremely vast Continents, each with their own unique cultures and powerful beings that vied for hegemony.

It's Cities were interestingly a mixture of technology and magic, where one could find uniquely designed buildings and complexes in addition to levitating Vessels that pulsed with mana!

It wasn't uncommon to come across fiery birds tearing through the skies, fantastical fruits that shone with a rainbow colored luster, or mountainous sized fish swarming across the wide seas of this Realm.

Every single corner of this expansive Realm had its own mysteries, with our story beginning on the Light Continent.

Light Continent, Academy City.

In the depths of the Academy City, a boy of about 16 to 18 years of age was lying atop an expanse of green grass, each blade of the innumerable grasses shining with an intense verdant glint as green lights could even be seen swirling around them.

This mere sight of colorful dots of light swirling around lush greenery had given the boy shock when he first opened his eyes in this Ethereal Realm.

That's right.

The young boy was actually a transmigrator, a being that had died and crossed over into a completely different world!

Well, in this case, a completely different Realm.

He was currently lazing atop the lush greenery that was behind the huge building that was one of monuments of Academy City- The Blessed Academy.

It was an enormous structure that housed and taught the next generation of Blessed that would valiantly delve into the Dimensional Rifts present throughout the Ethereal Realm, and Noah had transmigrated into this new Realm just 3 weeks since he began attending this Academy!

As for what caused his untimely demise in his old world, it was of course a speedy red truck that had truly appeared from nowhere.

A moment of blankness and in the next instant, he woke up in the body of this boy that was called Noah Eckert.

He didn't know why the poor sap had died or how he had come to take his place, all he had were memories of this world and its people that he had experienced in his 18 years of life!

He lived in this fantastical place called the Ethereal Realm, a land where powerful Blessed- beings that held immense might and power, moved with vigor to dive into the dangerous Dimensional Rifts.

These Rifts were at the core of the Ethereal Realm, with nearly everything that made the organizations and powers of this Realm relying on the resources and treasures that could be obtained from Dimensional Rifts!

All the City-States spread across the three Continents maintained a close watch on the Rifts within them, the ranks of such Rifts determining the power of the Blessed that dwell within.

To succeed and live a good life in such a place...one needed to be a truly powerful Blessed that actively dived into these Rifts.

It wasn't enough to just be a Blessed, as the abundant atmospheric mana of the Ethereal Realm was more than enough to cause every single being dwelling in it to awaken as an Iron Ranked Blessed by the time they hit puberty.

It was the type of power that came with their awakening that determined whether they could become truly powerful Blessed and succeed in life.

This was where Noah's problem lay.

The body he had transmigrated into had awoken to become an Iron Rank Blessed, but to the dismay of Noah and his family...he obtained no power or special ability from his awakening.

"Haaa…"

Such a reality caused immense frustration to the new transmigrator as he screamed his fury to the skies.

'Where's my transmigrator package?!'

'Where's my cheat that allows me to lead an easy life, huh?! Where?!'

Alas...no matter how much he vented his frustration, nothing changed.

He and his sister had begun attending the Blessed Academy that took in all newly awakened Blessed who wished to dive into Rifts, teaching them pertinent knowledge that would allow them to keep their lives in these dangerous Dimensional Rifts and hopefully hone them into capable beings that could contribute to society.

Being a Blessed that had awakened no power whatsoever, Noah had not been able to find any teams that would take him in as the first weeks of his life were spent in isolation while he gathered more knowledge about the Ethereal Realm.

Even as he lazily rolled around the lush greenery behind the Academy right now, he could occasionally see flashing lights that represented wondrous magical skills from the distance, with even the shocking images of golden flaming birds crossing the blue skies of this wondrous Realm.

It made his heart ache when he thought of all the transmigrators he read about from the overabundance of trash stories that led easy lives with ridiculous cheats in fantasy worlds.

He was in such a fantastical place such as the Ethereal Realm, and he had nothing!

SHAA

At this moment, his eyes that were staring at the Blue skies blinked as a figure with pristine long legs stood above him.

Her eyes glanced down with a sharp light as her voice resounded out.

"Useless brother, get up and come with me."

The strong voice of a girl younger than him rang out as Noah adopted a light smile.

The little sister of Noah Eckert had arrived in a grand fashion.
