My Wife Gets More Vicious The More I Spoil Her

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

“Baby.” Lu Wanxin paused for a moment. “Don’t meet with Qingya anymore.”

Lu Haiqiao put down the chopsticks and cocked her head at Lu Wanxin. “Why?”

Sisterhood was not something that existed between her and Su Qingya. The reason they still had minimal contact over the years was that Lu Wanxin had once said that the problems between parents should not affect their children. No matter what, Su Qingya was still her sister, and occasionally meeting her wouldn’t hurt.

In any case, they would only meet once or twice a year. Even if Lu Haiqiao did not like this sister, out of respect for Lu Wanxin, she reluctantly agreed to her invitations.

Now, her mother changed her mind…

“Did she look for you?” Otherwise, how could Lu Wanxin know that she had seen Su Qingya in the afternoon?

The moment she met Lu Haiqiao’s gaze, Lu Wanxin was stunned, then changed the subject and said, “Anyway, we have nothing to do with the Su family anymore. Less contact means less trouble.”

Every time Lu Wanxin put on such an attitude, it meant that no matter how she asked, she wouldn’t say more.

So, Lu Haiqiao didn’t ask more questions and simply agreed. “I understand.”

Anyway, she didn’t want to see Su Qingya.

“My baby is so obedient!” Lu Wanxin smiled and raised her hand to rub the back of Lu Haiqiao’s head.

At this moment, the phone on the dining table rang.

The lit screen displayed a text message in the center: “He’s back, just arrived.”

Lu Haiqiao’s eyes flickered. Then, she grabbed the phone and stood up. “Mom, I’m going out for a while.”

“Hey, baby, where are you going so late at night? It’s past ten o’clock…”

The door slammed shut with a bang, cutting off Lu Wanxin’s last word.

An hour and a half later, Lu Haiqiao arrived near a detached villa in the suburbs of B City.

She intentionally stopped the car a short distance away from the villa. The surroundings were desolate, and an eerie wind blew. After paying the fare, the taxi driver immediately turned around and drove back to the main road.

The small road was muddy with potholes, a result of the earlier rain.

Lu Haiqiao walked forward cautiously.

The surroundings were very quiet, with only the sound of the wind whistling could be heard.

As she continued, she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

She stood still for three to four seconds before swiftly dodging a violent attack from behind.

She took a few steps back and, after regaining her footing, realized that three unfamiliar men had appeared from nowhere.

Dressed in black with black pants and black masks, they seemed to blend seamlessly into the night.

Lu Haiqiao calmly gazed at the man standing in the center.

He held a wooden stick, and it was clear that he had been the one who launched the attack from behind.

It looked like they were about to get physical.

She carefully removed a hair tie from her wrist, using it to tie her long hair into a simple ponytail.

“Three together. Don’t waste time.”

As she spoke, the man in the center, holding the wooden stick, charged toward her.

He moved quickly, but she was quicker.

She leaned backward to evade his attack and, at the same time, grabbed his wrist firmly. Then, with a powerful kick, she struck him in the abdomen.

The man winced in pain and doubled over.

His grip on the wooden stick loosened, and she effortlessly snatched it from him.

Seeing their comrade in such a state, the other two men rushed over.

With the wooden stick in her hand, she reached behind her back. She dodged a few punches from the two men and suddenly extended her left hand, forming it into a claw shape, and grasped one of the men by the neck.
