My Wife Is A Secret Assassin

Chapter 14: Pinned Her To The Wall

"I am sorry to know that ma'am, we are doing our best to get out all hostages safely, please trust us." The cop who stopped her tried to assure her as he could understand their state of mind.

"Can I at least stay here? Please?" Samantha looked like she would cry if he won't even let her stay.

"Please don't worry, everything is going to be fine. It would be better if you leave, try to understand our situation." The cop tried to convince her to leave as it would be much better with less civilians around.

Having no choice Samantha went to other lane, she parked her car and she decided to sneak in and mix inside, she knew what she was planning is risky but she couldn't help it.

Then she slowly sneaked from the other side and hid herself carefully then she was about to go to the restaurant from the other side but there too some cops were there.

She then thought of what to do when suddenly someone held her hand and pulled her.

Samantha was startled and was planning to shout when the man who pulled her in one of the lanes, pinned her to the wall and covered her mouth, when she saw who it was, she was very shocked.

"Shh, what the hell are you doing here?" Chance asked her in a slow whisper.

She glared at him and tried to point to his hand on her mouth indicating him to remove his hand so that she can answer him.

"Oh sorry" He apologized to her in a whisper.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She questioned him instead.

"Have you forgotten I invited you here for dinner?"

"Yeah, so you should be inside right?"

"Well. The attack happened at 7 pm and I came here at 7:45 pm, so I was not allowed to go inside." He explained.

Samantha laughed at his explanation, "Thank goodness, you are safe"

Chance then suddenly leaned closer to her, "Were you worried about me?" His voice turned seductive.

Samantha's heart was pounding faster, she gulped in fear when his face came closer to her.

"Who are you two?"

Suddenly a cop flashed light on them and questioned the two.

Chance took a step back and smiled at the officer, "Sorry, we were just making out" He said those words as casually as he said they two are taking a walk around.

Samantha felt embarrassed at what he said but she kept calm.

"There is a terrorist attack here and you two are making out?" The cop questioned them and was evidently very angry at the two.

"What? Really?" Chance looked damn surprised and scared.

"Yes" The cop calmed down when he understood these two were unaware of it and added, "Please leave this area, it is not safe"

"Sure sir, please take care and all the best, I am sure you will deal with those terrorists well." Chance wished him luck and the two quietly left the place.

Chance held her hand and they walked away.

"You are a good liar" Samantha praised him as for a second she herself believed everything Chance said and couldn't see through his lie at all, he was a very good actor.

"Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. Where is your car?"

Samantha then led him to her car and they drove away.

"So? You actually came here to have dinner with me or you decided to ditch me but came here after seeing the news?" Chance questioned her.

Samantha was driving and he was sitting next to her.

"Why should I answer you."
