Chapter 1893: Set Fire
Yu Qi and Qin Xia's news was still trending. It was like someone paid to make the news keep trending. Yu Qi asked Neko-chan to investigate that. Turned out it was Bai Xia Fang who paid for that.
Bai Shu Jin made Yu Qi angry before. Now, his father also kept pouring hot water on her. They seemed to be having a lot of free time. Since they had a lot of free time, she would make them busy then.
Yu Qi asked Neko-chan to find out the warehouse owned by Bai Corporation. She would cause trouble for them since they liked to cause trouble for Yu Qi. Neko-chan listed the warehouses owned by Bai Corporation. She chose the warehouse that was worth a lot. And it was pure coincidence that the warehouse happened to be at the FINN City. It saved up Yu Qi's troubles. It would be more work if the warehouse was far from the city. Bai Corporation never learned after she taught them a lesson before where she stole the information about their upcoming project. Maybe because they did not lose much on that upcoming project, they did not think much about that. So, she would make them lose a lot of their money. Yu Qi sneaked out from Tang House. Well, Yu Qi stayed there since Long Hui had not returned yet. She did not want others to ask her where she wanted to go. That would be a hassle. She did not want to alert others so, she did not take any car with her. It was not a problem for her even though she had to walk. Well, probably not walking but running. She ran all the way to the warehouse. When she saw the surroundings, she could see only two people guarding the big warehouse. They did not even pay any attention to their surroundings and only focused on playing on their phones. This made Yu Qi's work easier. Yu Qi checked the items inside the warehouse. It was basically the thing for construction. There were steel, bricks, packs of cement and other things for the construction work. Nothing inside that could explode. This was nice. Yu Qi used her power to light up the fire. She started the fire far away from the guards. She got out of the warehouse. She stayed far away while watching the fire started to grow bigger and bigger as it burned everything in its path. "Hey, do you smell something?" One of the guards asked.
The other one started to smell around. He also caught the smell. "Yes, What is this smell?"
"It smelled like something burning." Guard One said.
After he said that, they were looking at each other in shock. They rushed over into the warehouse. They could see there was a fire in the warehouse.
"What should we do now?" Guard Two was panicked. He could not think right straight.
"Call the fire department quickly." Guard One shouted.
Guard Two quickly called the fire department. He told the firefighters about the fire inside the warehouse. They told him that they would arrive in 15 minutes.
"I already call them. They will come in 15 minutes." Guard Two said.
"We need to inform our supervisor about this." Guard One said.
"You should call him right now." Guard Two said.
So, Guard One immediately called their supervisor to inform him about the fire in the warehouse. The supervisor who was just about to sleep jumped out of bed when his subordinates told him about that. The fire happened in the warehouse that he was in charge of taking care of. How terrible this would be. His career might be ruined and he might lose his job. "Those idiots." The supervisor could not help to curse. His wife heard that and asked what was going on. He explained to his wife while changing his clothes. He needed to go and check the damage that was caused by the fire. Those idiots really did not know how to do their damn job.
Yu Qi swung her legs while watching the fire getting bigger. Not long after that, the fire department came over to control the fire. It was not easy because there were a lot of things that could easily burn. Only after two hours of working, the fire finally could be controlled. Yu Qi felt that her job for now had been done. She just needed to wait for tomorrow. She knew this kind of accident could be in the news. They would not have time to care about her anymore. Yu Qi disappeared in the dark night. If she stayed longer, she would see Bai Shu Jin who just came over to the warehouse to see the situation. Bai Shu Jin happened to be in the city. The head branch of the company accompanied Bai Shu Jin for a drink at the house club when he received the call regarding the incident. Bai Shu Jin who happened to listen to the incident wanted to come along to see what the situation was. The supervisor was scolding the guards.
"What were you doing when the fire started?" The supervisor shouted.
"We did not notice the fire until we smelled something, Sir." Guard Two said.
"Yes, after smelling something, we rushed in and saw the fire. We called the fire department immediately before calling you." Guard One elaborated more about the incident.
