Reincarnated As A Mosquito

Chapter 12: Fight for the right-

Chapter 12: Fight for the right-

[Host, the elves possess a rich history and culture deeply intertwined with the forces of magic. They are known for their affinity for and mastery of various magical arts, making them formidable beings in their own right.]

"If that's the case, what are these kids doing here in a place like this?" Ben asked, closely observing the captivity of the elves, held by black chains.

[Host, as much as it sounds disgusting to you, since most of the elves have good appearances as a gift of nature, many rich humans prefer to keep them as s*x slaves. They also get very high values in the black market, compared to any other humanoid race.]

"What the crap!" Ben almost shouted in anger," Are you telling me that these 17- or 18 year old kids are going to be sex slaves? Isn't there any law or any police or something similar preventing it?"

[ Yes, host, there are royal guards and many other organisations keeping an eye on people's safety, but due to some political reasons, the human kingdom chooses to ignore anything happening with elves. The same goes for humans in elven territory.]

Oh, I see, so it's just another kind of racism in this world." Ben said it with a cold chuckle. " doesn't matter whether it's a scientific world or a magical world. Humans never fail to surprise me with their actions."

"As long as humans exist, they will keep fighting on the basis of skin colour, tradition, or some religion. Their ego is so big that they couldn't care less about these innocent children's lives getting ruined." Ben said, observing the black chains closely.

"Hey system! Is there any way for me to free these kids? Maybe I can cut these black chains with multiple attacks of blood needles?" Ben asked, thinking about the different possibilities for freeing these young elves.

[Sorry to break the bubble host, but it seems that these slave chains are directly linked through the souls of the living beings connected.]

[If the host tries to break the chains, it might as well kill the elves along with it.]

"Then what is the way to free these kids? There has to be a way, right?" Ben asked with a frown on his mosquito face.

Yes, it's indeed possible to break these chains without killing the elves, but that will require a deep understanding of magic. [which we currently don't have.]

"Come on, there has to be a better way! Like cutting off the power source or... Killing off the two bastards driving the wagon?" Ben asked, slowly becoming frustrated.

[Host, please don't forget that your existence on this planet is quite crucial. [If you keep involving yourself in trivial matters, you won't be able to save the universe.]

[I would like to suggest that the host fill his HP and get out of here. We can't waste time on geopolitical games designed by humans since...]

"Shut up!" Ben shouted in a serious tone, stopping the system midway. "I didn't ask for your openness, so only answer me what I asked for."

It's the system's responsibility to balance the universe, and you are one of the factors that can do so. I won't let you make any rash decisions.

"Oi oi oi! Who do you think I am? Just preach about your goal one more time, and I will throw myself at a mutant spider."

[But host, what about the balance of the universe?]

"I couldn't care less about something as crappy as the balance of the universe. I live my life as I want to; if you try to interfere in it, then I have no problem being erased from the universe," Ben said with an evil smirk on his face.

[...]

[Host, there is a way to free these elves from being pushed into slavery. [But I am not sure if you will like it that way.]

"Just spit it out?" Ben asked in annoyance.

[I believe that the slave colours attached to these elves aren't bound by a permanent contract. [So if you use your abilities to kill the two humans driving the wagon, then you can make a slave contract with these elves and save their lives.]

"I see. So what you are saying is that if I want to save them from becoming other people's slaves, then I will need to make them my slave. Wouldn't that be kind of the same?" Ben asked seriously.

[Host, I believe that once we are able to learn more about magic, it will be an easy task for you to remove these slaves colours from their necks.]

[This is the only possible way to save them from the countless possibilities I have calculated.]

"You are not wrong; it's not really that bad an option if this can save some lives. But the catchy part is...to kill those humans." Ben said, rubbing his mosquito temples.

"What do you think is the possibility of me winning against them if I fight head on?" Ben asked, calculating something in his head.

[0%, sir, the human in front of you, although weak for humans, is still many times stronger than you. [So I believe you won't be able to make a scratch on them if you fight in this state.]

"I guess you are right." Ben said so in disappointment. "What about the possibility when I reach the next evolution?"

[I can't calculate your strength after evolution since I have no idea what evolution holds further.]

"Well then, it just means that I need to keep levelling up until I am finally evolved." Ben concluded with a determined look on his face.

Yes, host, I appreciate your determination. [But you still need to consume some blood in order to recover your HP before you go to the next battle.]

[ HP: 2.5/5.0 ]

Jeez, how can I forget about that?" Ben said , biting his lips. Before he flew inside, he tore off a piece of white cloth to get inside the wagon.

With his small size and smooth movement, it was quite an easy deal for Ben to enter the wagon without any suspicion.

Alright, there are many blood sources; I just need to consume some," He said, slowly flying towards an even girl whose blood was dripping out of his right wrist, probably due to struggling against the chains.

Ben, without hesitation, flew next to the girl and consumed some fresh blood dripping on the floor.

[Elven blood has been consumed.]

[ Exp: +5. Agility gained: +0.1 ]

"Ding"

[Blood consumption confirmed; recovering HP]

[HP: 2.5/5]

[HP: 3/5]

[HP: 4/5]

[HP: 4.9/5]
