Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 323 Since When Do We Have A Basement?

Klaus Park said goodbye to Andrew in the middle of his morning run because he received an equally unexpected phone call. As he walked out of the park, he finally answered Klank's attempts to call.

"What's up, man?" Klaus asked, finding the call strange.

"Wow! Good morning to you too, Klaus! How are you?" inquired Klank, sounding pleased for some reason.

"I'm very well. Why did you call me? Do you need anything?"

"Actually, yes. Remember you texted me yesterday asking me to let you know when I got back from my mission, so I did. I'm already in the Capital again. If you're available now, how about setting up a place for us to meet to make the exchange?"

"Fine by me, I'm completely free today. In fact, wouldn't it have been easier for you to text me instead of calling?"

"Nah! Calling is much more practical and faster."

Klaus took a deep breath. "Okay, I have you added to the game, don't I? I will share my location with you. I will log in in a few minutes."

pαпdα-ňᴏνêι·сóМ "Okay, see you!!!"

*Beep*

Before heading to the deep immersion capsule room, the black-haired, Asian-eyed boy ran to his dorm, took a quick shower to get the sweat off, changed, and headed downtown to the campus. When he arrived at the place, he noticed that it was more crowded than usual, almost all the pods were red-lit, but he found one that was green.

As soon as he entered the game, he spawned in front of his store. The street wasn't very crowded, but it sure seemed less empty, and there were also some NPC customers looking at items inside his store. This made Kaizen smile a little. Og'tharoz was at the counter and arched his eyebrows as he saw Kaizen enter, as did all the customers. Kaizen was still wearing his imposing armor, because he had forgotten to take it off when he returned from the Tower of the Magi.

Kaizen then approached the counter and greeted Og'tharoz with a nod. "What's up, how's the store going?" asked Klaus.

Og'tharoz smiled back at Klaus and replied, "It's going well. Always busy, always bustling. When you go back to forging, let me know, there are some customers with diagrams for you."

Kaizen then thought for a moment. "Well, for now I'm busy with a few things, but as soon as everything gets quieter, I will forge. By the way, where is Alina? Did you guys get along?"

Og'tharoz scratched his beard as he thought, "Did we get along? Um... She's a very smart woman for sure, but also mysterious. She talked a lot about various things, but she didn't tell me where you two met."

Psyker almost laughed at the demon's exhausted expression. "It's a long story. Once she's more comfortable, she'll tell you, I'm sure. So, is she on the second floor or in the back?"

"She's been in the basement since yesterday. I heard some hammering noises and things flying, so I didn't want to interrupt her."

"What? In the basement? Since when do we have a basement?"

When Kaizen descended into that basement via a snail-shaped staircase that he had never seen before, he was startled. The basement Og'tharoz said was actually a gigantic library, with a white floor and bookshelves that stretched to the high ceiling. There were several wooden tables with comfortable chairs scattered about the room, and a soft light illuminated the whole place. For an instant, Kaizen felt that he was back in the same Library of the Magi that he had visited so often just a few weeks before.

Alina was sitting at one of the tables, leafing through an old book while a quill floated beside her, making notes on a scroll.

Kaizen approached her and Alina raised her eyes to greet him with a smile. "Kaizen! How nice of you to come back! What did you think of my little shrine?"

"I had no idea we had such an amazing place. What is it exactly?"

"You don't think I asked for the Key to the Wizard's Tower to have an escape, do you? I wanted to return there and seek my home."

"So...we are in that same library as before?"

"In practice, yes. I have only reduced in width and increased in depth so as not to assault the city's soil. There are now many more floors, but all my beloved books are here."

Kaizen was completely in shock, with a silly smile on his face. Now he had a gigantic library with unlimited knowledge under his house. Although he didn't gain any great rewards from the end of the mission for saving Alina, this reward was definitely the best possible for a player.

"H-how did you do that?" Kaizen asked.bender

"It was grueling, but everything was pretty much ready. At the base of the library there was always a giant teleportation circle, I believe it was the same one my father used to get the library to the Forest of the Lost, and so I just had to learn how to activate that circle."

Stunned, Kaizen looked at her once again and smiled. "You really are spectacular."

Her praise made her blush. "Yes, I know that!"

At the same instant, Kaizen received a message notification dripped into the upper right corner of Psyker's screen, and he remembered that he had arranged to meet with Klank.

"Alina, I'll be back later. I have something to work out, but can you help me find the diagram of a bow? I'm in the mood to forge one."

"All right, I already know exactly where to find it, just give me a day, some sections are still messed up because of the tremors the teleportation caused."

"Deal, I'll be back later. By the way, your staff is almost done, I will finish it soon."

"I'm looking forward to it." She said, smiling.
