Tavern in Another Dimension: Getting the Elf Queen Drunk at the Start

Chapter 5: The Charm of Lafite

Alan kept reciting a clear-your-head mantra in his mind, hoping that he would not make a fool of himself.

Sophia quickly tidied up her queen's clothes, looking troubled.

She secretly hated the young man in front of her for bullying her young and gullible queen. Not only did he get her drunk, but he also seemed to be plotting something evil.

She kept sizing up the young man beside her with a scrutinizing gaze.

Alan calmed his heart down and stole a glance at Sophia. When he realized that she was staring at him intently, he could not help but feel a chill down his spine.

"Ahem... look, your queen has not paid for the wine she drank just now, is it possible..."Alan rubbed his left thumb and index finger together, trying to change the topic.

Being stared at by an elven powerhouse, the pressure was too great, especially when he was still feeling a little guilty.

Sophia looked at the vulgar young man in front of her who was asking for money. He actually dared to ask for money after taking advantage of her queen. She was amazed at how shameless he was.

"Hmph, I'll pay the bill, but first, you better explain what happened just now."

Alan looked at the female elf who was sneering at him. In order to get the money for the wine, he had to bear the immense pressure and explained.

"What happened just now was really an accident. I didn't get Orina drunk, and I also didn't expect her to have such a poor tolerance for alcohol."

Sophia looked at the sincere-looking young man and didn't believe a single word.

"Stop quibbling. You lured the queen out of my tavern to a remote place like this and you expect me to believe that you have no intentions at all? Who would believe you?" As she said that, she looked around the tavern, her face full of disgust.

"I admit that I had intentions when I brought Orina back to my tavern. However, she got drunk entirely because my wine was too good. She accidentally drank too much."

Alan straightened his neck and defended himself. Although he was afraid that the female elf in front of him, who was already full of anger, would beat him up, as a decent young man with polite manners, he should not be afraid of violence.

"You little brat, lying is not a good habit. Our queen drinks the best elven wine in her clan. Ordinary wine can't make her get hooked to it, let alone get drunk."

Alan looked at the female elf who disdainfully looked at him and his wine and immediately retorted, "You dare talk about your elf clan? Such a huge clan, yet there is no one else to take charge? Look at what you all forced Orina into. She can only release her pent up emotions when she's drunk..."

"You little brat, what do you know?" Sofia interrupted the young man's righteous speech. "The elf queen has her own responsibilities and obligations. This is also a great honor for her. Orina's hard work now is all for the sake of surviving the next Great War between the gods and demons... forget it, why am I talking about this with a little brat who doesn't have any magic at all..."

Sofia stopped mid-sentence and shut her mouth resentfully.

Alan was a little confused. He felt that things had become very complicated...

"Don't change the topic for me. I'm asking about your intentions."Sophia was very angry, she felt that she was almost led astray. "With the queen's strength, even orc wine wouldn't get her drunk. If you didn't use despicable means to force her to drink, how could she get drunk?"

"If you continue to frame me like this, I will be angry. A mere elven queen, why would I need to use despicable methods to get her drunk? Look at my weak and fragile body! Do you think I want to die?"

Sophia was initially furious when she heard the first half of the sentence, but in the end, she couldn't say anything in response. Where did this shameless boy get his temper from?

"You... you're twisting your words around! You're a sharp-tongued brat!"

"Anyway, what I said is the truth. If you don't believe me, you can taste it yourself. But, please pay the bill first!" Alan placed one hand on his waist, looking arrogant. Sofia was so angry that her teeth itched.

"Fine, I'll see how good your wine is, see if it is better than our elven wine!" After saying that, she took out silver coins from her purse and helped her queen sit down on a chair in the middle of the hall.

Alan was delighted when he received the silver coin. Then, he flashed into the bar counter with a happy expression on his face and repeated the same process when he served Orina.

Sophia saw the serious look on the young man's face when he was fiddling with the wine set and gained a little more trust in what he said.

"Madam, please taste my wine, 'Lafite'."

At this time, Orina, who was already drunk, suddenly sat up and shouted, "Please let me drink another glass of Lafite!"

That shocked both of them. After saying that, Orina did not lie back down on the table. Instead, she narrowed her eyes and straightened her back. No one could tell if she was drunk or sober.

Alan only poured the wine for Sofia. As he was handing the glass over, Orina grabbed the glass halfway and tried to move the glass towards herself instead.

Sofia was greatly surprised. Just by smelling the wine, she could tell that this Lafite wine was good wine.

However, looking at her queen's insatiable reaction, she felt a little embarrassed. She did not believe a single word that Alan said earlier. However, looking at the queen's actions just now, she knew that she must have misunderstood him. Thinking of this, Sofia's expression became a little stiff, she could not bring herself to apologize to him.

"Orina, you can't drink anymore!" Feeling too embarrassed to look at the young man, she could only stop her queen's temperamental behavior.

Orina turned to look at the person who stopped her from drinking. She seemed to be so drunk that she could not recognize the person in front of her.

After unsuccessfully trying to snatch the wine glass from the other person for a while, her big blue eyes were quickly filled with tears. "You're a bad person!"

When Alan fetched more glasses and returned to to the table, all he saw was this scene and he felt his heart clench. Her expression should be illegal.

He tactfully decided not to speak at this time. He only looked at Sofia full of condemnation.

Feeling that she had been reprimanded by the two children, Sofia's heart skipped a beat. She softened her tone and said, "You can only drink one more glass. After that, no more." She let go of her hand that was holding the glass.

Orina took the glass and looked as proud as a cat. She smiled sweetly and sat on the chair, drinking the wine obediently.

Alan poured another cup of wine for Sophia and signaled for her to taste it.

He could see that Sophia was also very interested in the glass but didn't have the nerve to ask him.

Alan wanted to leave her hanging, so he did not take the initiative to explain.

Watching her carefully pick up the goblet and taste the wine elegantly, Alan sighed in his heart. It made sense why elves were synonymous with elegance no matter where they were, even if they were in a simple tavern.

After the first sip, the rich aroma of the wine made Sophia forget the previous unpleasantness. After another sip, she felt that Alan was in fact quite handsome and didn't seem to be that bad.

Therefore, Sophia drank one cup after another. After half a bottle of wine, she was tipsy.

"Come, have a drink with me!" Sophia put one of her legs on her chair and grabbed Alan's collar.

"Seriously, do all you elves act the same way after drinking too much...." Alan looked like he had nothing to live for.

What was wrong with these elves? Do they all liked to pounce on people when they're drunk!?

Before Allen could finish lamenting, Sophia took her glass and poured a full glass of wine down his mouth.

The powerless young man was unable to break free from this archmage's restraint. All he could do was accept that he was humiliatingly pressed up against her majestic chest while wine was poured down his throat.

In the end, Alan was also a little drunk...
