The Charming Villain Just Wants To Be A Salted Fish

Chapter 6.2 - The Sixth Night Part 2

The Sixth Night Part 2

Joyce had bought a lot of ingredients. She sorted through it herself and cooked an extravagant dinner.

She pushed the seemingly extravagant dish in front of Sean. “Taste it. Is it delicious?”

Her eager eyes made Sean avoid them. He took a sip. It was naturally not as delicious as what he usually had, mainly because it was a little salty from too many seasonings added.

But he looked up at those eyes waiting in anticipation and could not say a word of what he wanted to say.

“Mm.” ꜱᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴀɴꜱʟᴀᴛᴏʀ ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴏɴ ꜰᴏxᴀʜᴏʟɪᴄ.ᴄᴏᴍ

Hearing this, Joyce's eyes shined even more and took out a larger plate of delicious food. She sat down next to Sean and ate with delight.

“Would you like to try the fish to see if it tastes good?”

“Mm.”

Joyce ate a mouthful of fish with him and promptly asked another question, “What about these sweet and sour pork ribs?”

“…Mm.”

“Delicious!!” Joyce continued to express her happiness. “I suddenly understand why mukbangs are so popular!”

“…”

“What about this?” Joyce eagerly asked, again. “Try this one.”

“…” The knife and fork in Sean’s hands shook. He suddenly identified himself as a “hostage”.

Joyce never sat in the garden again because she had learned the secret behind it. When she was bored, she would climb the castle walls to the fruit trees and spend the day over there. She also avoided Long Aotian’s daily brainwashing lessons about reviving the vampire race.

Sean followed her, observing the little vampire who hid and slept every day.

He realized that the little vampire was always carefully collecting the seeds of the fruits she had eaten recently.

He studied the seeds that she regarded as a treasure and asked without thinking, “Why are you collecting these?”

“It’s such a waste to let Long Aotian clear such a big area of land for the garden and those things underneath to plant roses.” Joyce pointed to the sea of roses in front of her. “It’s just so big. You can plant some crops here, some fruit trees there, and then you can raise some livestock and poultry over there.”

Sean frowned at her words. “Are you really going to let vampires eat all this food?” ꜱᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴀɴꜱʟᴀᴛᴏʀ ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴏɴ ꜰᴏxᴀʜᴏʟɪᴄ.ᴄᴏᴍ

“They probably won't eat it.” Joyce waved her hand. “But Karnia’s harvest is not good. We can sell these fruits and vegetables, or simply ask if anyone is willing to exchange some blood with us.”

Sean stared at her blankly. “Exchange blood? You don’t mean…”

“It’s a fact that it’s good for people to draw some blood regularly. Ah, you won’t understand this. Anyway, we can try this first. We need to find a way for vampires to coexist with humans.”

Sean looked at her thoughtfully but did not respond.

Joyce put away the seeds. She happily picked a few ripe fruits and handed them to him. “What do you want to eat? Let's go and buy some seeds. When it’s summer, we can eat watermelons to relieve the heat. During autumn, we can eat fresh persimmons, pears, oranges and…”

Joyce spoke with enthusiasm as if those things were on the edge of her mouth.

Sean looked at her, his eyes softening without realizing it.

As she said this, she suddenly felt a little hungry. It had been a few days since the last time she sucked blood. Despite eating food with Sean these past days, the vampire's desire for blood was not as simple as filling the belly. It would also directly affect their health and physical capabilities.

Her eyes fell on Sean's neck and she had a hard time swallowing her saliva.

Sean soon sensed that she was looking at him and looked down at her straightforward eyes.

He tugged at his collar. As her eyes shone even more, he whispered, “Do you want it?”

Joyce swallowed her saliva again. She complained in her mind why a supporting cannon fodder knight in this bloody otome manga would say such ambiguous words, and… during these kinds of conditions.

At this present moment, the blood flowing under his white skin was what she needed most.

Since he offered, she naturally would not be polite.

After she thought about it like this, she threw herself onto the young man sitting on the branch next to her.

Sean did not refuse, but he slightly opened his thin lips, and within a split second of earth-spinning changes… Once again, Joyce felt that the person in front of her had become huge. She raised her hands, and sure enough, she was transformed into a small kitten by this man!

Joyce was filled with resentment. She was angry and tried to argue with him. However, she saw him lightly cut his finger.

The sweet smell instantly filled the air. The little claws she had just unleashed were retracted. Her entire body became soft, and her soft cat paws reached out, longing for his finger.

But he raised his finger and asked patiently in a low voice, “In the future… are you going to drink like this?”

She once again extended her soft cat paw that was unable to resist the sweetness but was grabbed by his other hand. Because it felt nice, he gently rubbed her paw.

“Hm?”

Although Joyce's mind held resentment, the sweetness made her give up on any resistance and used her head to rub against his fingers.

The orange rays of the setting sun passed through the leaves. The scattered light fell on his eyes. They were gentle. He lowered his finger to the kitten in his arms.

The kitten held up her paws to grab onto his index finger. Little by little, she licked the blood droplets seeping out from his finger.

“Don’t eat too much, little one.”

Sean gently rubbed the kitten's head with his other hand.

The little kitten did not notice that he had said something. She continued to greedily lick the sweet drops of blood, and even bit hard at his healing wound with her baby fangs.

Sean couldn’t help it and laughed. His hand moved from the cute little head to the chin and gently scratched it.
