The Magic Apprentice: My Cells Have Mutated

Chapter 21

Chu He’s face was filled with satisfaction.

This expression made Bloody Mary go crazy.

The power had already reached level eight, but Chu He was still so comfortable!

This was something that Bloody Mary had never seen before!

She took matters into her own hands and walked angrily to the device, adjusting it to level nine.

The electricity grew stronger, and crackling sounds came from the room.

Chu He also felt a change, his body was constantly numb, but it was still within his acceptable range.

There was just a slight pain.

Suddenly, a new system notification sounded in Chu He’s ear.

[Due to a large number of electric shocks, a lightning cell has been awakened in the host’s body.]

Instantly, all the numbness disappeared.

Chu He looked at his attribute menu. There were more than a thousand mutated cells, and he did not hesitate to use 900 of them.

He increased the number of lightning cells to ten.

With ten lightning cells in his body, Chu He felt that he had the ability to control lightning.

He tried to activate it and received a resonance from the electric arcs.

The electricity that kept flowing into his body seemed to be cheering, as if it had found a home.

These electric arcs constantly accumulated, gathering into an even stronger force of lightning in Chu He’s body.

As his strength increased, the corners of Chu He’s mouth curled up slightly as he revealed a smug smile.

Boom!

Lightning instantly burst out.

However, this power did not come from Bloody Mary, but from the lightning cells in Chu He’s body.

The ropes on his body instantly broke, and under the explosion of the lightning, they were reduced to dust.

Chu He got off the bed and stood in the room as all the lightning slowly moved around him.

“This is the power of lightning.” Chu He looked at the panicking Bloody Mary and said with a teasing expression.

Now, she no longer looked down on him. Instead, she was terrified and could not help but take a few steps back.

“Lightning!” Chu He shouted.

Endless lightning emerged from his body and quickly drowned Bloody Mary.

There was a crackle and a burnt smell came from Mary.

Within the lightning, she turned into a ball of black gas and dissipated.

[A demonic creature was killed. +1000 Mutated Cells]

[Quest completed. Five survivors were saved. Congratulations to the host for obtaining the quest reward. +5000 Mutated Cells]

After obtaining the two rewards, Chu He felt very satisfied.

Around him, the environment was slowly dissipating.

“What should we do now? This Advanced Mage seems to have entered the dream as well?” Julie’s younger brother frowned and asked.

“I knew he’s a liar, we’re screwed.” The thin, bespectacled boy squatted on the floor in despair and said.

“I don’t want to die yet.” The tall and handsome boy cursed out as well.

He was a famous hunk of St. Peter’s High School. His family was very rich from doing business in New York, so it was natural that he did not want to die early.

“Shut up, Louis.” Julie’s brother snorted, “You’re the one who suggested playing this psychic game. How else could this have happened?”

“I also know that you are involved in Puck’s death!”

“Don’t spout nonsense!” Louis, the tall boy, sprang to his feet and roared out in response, “You’re not allowed to talk nonsense about such things. Believe it or not, I’ll beat you to death right now!”

Louis was tall and muscular. When he stood up, he was half a head taller than Julie’s brother.

“Enough!” Julie, as the only girl in the room, shouted and silenced everyone with her words.

“The only thing we can do now is to trust this mage. Otherwise, what else can we do? We can only trust him now. If he succeeds, we can be saved!”

No one else said anything, because everyone knew very well that Julie was telling the truth.

Trusting Chu He was their only way out.

Apart from Chu He, no one could save them.

“I have chosen to trust this mage,” Julie’s brother declared.

The others remained silent as well. They sat in their seats and waited silently.

At this moment, Chu He woke up.

Seeing Chu He open his eyes, Julie’s brother immediately came over and asked, “Sir Mage, how is it? Is there any hope?”

Chu He did not answer him. Instead, he looked at the sleeping fatty on the sofa and reached out to slap his face.

“What are you doing!” Little fatty sat up immediately as he shouted, as though he had just woken up from a nightmare.

“You’ve already woken up. Your life is no longer in danger.” After saying that, Chu He turned his head to look at everyone and said very seriously, “You students are not allowed to play such psychic games anymore. It’s very dangerous.”

“You were lucky to have met me this time. Otherwise, none of you would have survived!”

Chu He sneered and said, “Unless you want to die, you should listen to me.”

Chu He’s sharp gaze swept across the group. These students cowered in fear and nodded repeatedly.

This incident had left a deep psychological trauma on them.

If Chu He had not saved them, they would probably all have died.

In fact, they were on the verge of collapsing already.

Not to mention trying out psychic games, they would probably tremble at the mention of that name in the future.
