The Messenger of Death

Chapter 13: twilight twin blades

Alex turned and looked at where Grace was staring at.

'whoosh!'

All Alex could see was a blurry shadow, as it passed his side. A sweet fragrance came a few seconds after.

'They do have alluring aphrodisiac scents on them.' He thought.

Alex turned again and saw a very captivating sight. Camilla, Grace's niece looked almost the same as her aunt, the only difference was the color of their eyes and the aura they gave out. Grace gave out a mature aura, the aura of someone that has experience. While Camilla gave out an innocent-cold aura. Her natural endowments were not as pronounced as her aunt's.

"Are you sure you are not her mother?" Alex blurted out.

Camilla looked at Alex the same way an arrogant privileged individual will look at a dirty peasant.

Alex hated such a gaze. When he was still roaming the slums of mars, he received such looks from well-to-do individuals and families. He was irked by such.

"She is not my mother. She is my Aunt. And speak to her with respect, don't act like you are friends with her" Camilla scolded Alex.

"That's right I am not friends with her, I am her benefactor. So you can stop giving me that constipated frog look." Alex insulted Camilla with a wicked smirk on his face.

"An origin realm cultivator not knowing his place and even disrespecting me. Hahaha, you want to die young kid."

Saying so a long sword appeared out of thin air and landed on her hands.

"You are only 3 years older than I am. Don't call me kid like you are an elder that is filled with wisdom. Dumb bimbo."

"You!! You will pay for calling me that."

"Enough, quit your bickering. So much for the introduction." Grace stopped Camilla before she could move.

"We are leaving."

As soon as Grace said that Alex couldn't see his surroundings clearly anymore. All he saw were vague colors of the trees and animals that they passed. Within a few seconds, they had crossed thousands of miles. They arrived at the feet of a snow-covered mountain.

"That was exhilarating," Alex said as he smiled. He had never moved that fast before.

"Seems like anything can amaze you." Camilla scowled.

"Did you see me in your dreams or you are just that desperate for a conversation with me?"

Camilla's face flushed with a light shade of pink from anger.

"You!!.." She didn't know what answer to give Alex.

"Can't you both try to get along, how are you going to accompany each other if all you do is to argue?" Grace couldn't put up with their bickering anymore.

"Camilla, try to be nice to Alex, he hasn't said anything wrong till you verbally attacked him. Alex is already trying his best."

"Aunt Grace I did not assault him first. He said that I looked like a constipated frog. He basically insulted me first."

"If you had looked at me the same way you looked at him, I would have said the same."

Alex chuckled.

"Now what? What do we do? Where do we go?" Alex said to Grace as he pretended like Camilla didn't exist at the moment.

"Well first, I'll help you sort some things out. Hand over the ring that Daemon gave to you."

Alex immediately complied.

Grace collected the ring and kept it flat on her left palm. She then bit her finger and let a little bit of blood drop on top of the ring. The ring absorbed her blood.

"This is how you claim the ownership of dimensional rings."

She then brought out another ring and passed it on to Alex.

"Let a bit of your blood drop on it." Alex had a look of skepticism on his face as he looked at Grace.

"Haha." Grace giggled.

"You don't trust me. Don't be alarmed. I just want to help you transfer some things from this ring to that one. You are not strong enough to use the ring that Daemon gave to you, you will only be able to use it when you are at the Spirit Transformation Realm. The ring that I just gave you, you can access that one, so let your blood drop on it." Grace said as she smiled at Alex.

"You know, you are kind of cute," Grace added.

"Quit it."

Alex said. He bit his finger and let his blood drop on the ring. He felt some connection with the ring, he could see how big the space inside was. The space looked like it was 18 feet tall and wide.

"Alright." She smirked at him.

Grace used her thumb to rub the ring on her palm and many items appeared. They piled up on the floor.

The most common items on the floor were some rectangle-shaped crystals the length and size of a thumb. There were different shades of blue colored crystals, a few green crystals, and 3 purple crystals.

'Were the Dragnel brothers miners or did they have a fetish for this kind of thing?' Alex asked himself.

"These crystals are known as EC, energy crystals. EC is the universally accepted currency. A blue EC, a green EC, and a purple EC. The blue one is the lowest, then the green and on the top is purple... There is a light blue crystal and a dark blue crystal. The latter is more valuable than the former.

The same concept applies to the other colors of EC. The reason why it is universally accepted is that it can also be used as cultivation resources. Within the crystal is QI. They vary in color because of the Quality and density of QI in a crystal. Do you understand?"

"Yeah."

Alex had digested the information. He now understood why the Dragnel brothers had them.

"What is the red stone." Saying so, Alex picked up a red stone the size of a dumpling.

"That is a Bloodstone. It is a very rare stone. This stone can help increase the purity of your blood powers. A lot of people covert this item, you must be careful not to let people know that you have it. If not you would invite a lot of greedy powerful people. The Dragnel brothers seem to own a lot of it." Grace said, she also looked like she yearned for the stone.

"Really?" There were about a dozen of it present before Alex.

"Is there still more in the ring?"

"Yes, quite a lot of it in the ring," Grace answered.

"Here, you can keep six of these." Alex picked six bloodstones and handed it over to Grace.

"No, I don't want it." Grace rejected it, but she still had that yearning look on her face.

"If you want it, take it or I won't insist. And I will take them back." Alex said with a straight face.

"If you insist that much, then don't mind if I do." Grace gleefully said as she hugs Alex.

"Thank you very much, Alex, this is more than enough to assist me in my breakthrough to the Immortal realm."

"You are welcome I guess." Alex blushed as he said.

"Pervert," Camilla whispered under her breath as she saw the scene. It was loud enough for Alex and Grace to hear.

"Camilla, are you jealous? If you are, aunty can give you a hug too."

"Aunt Grace please stop being shameless. We are royalty, we can't be seen doing such."

"Says the constipated frog," Alex whispered under his breath as he smirked at Camilla. He made sure she could hear what he whispered.

"Hahahaha. Enough of that, let us get back to the serious matters." Grace said.

"Here, pick a weapon." Grace brought out a few weapons. She brought out an arrow, 2 short swords, a saber, a long sword, a spear, a trident, an axe, and a knife. Alex didn't know what weapon to pick. He felt like it didn't matter because he could easily wield any of them.

"I'll go with the 2 short swords." Grace gave it to him. The blades were 2.5 feet long, both helms of the swords were black. The helm of the sword had an insignia on their bottoms. Alex didn't know what they meant.

"The insignia represents dominance. It is a sword that Daemon made. one of his greatest, and last. He named it the Twilight twin blades. It is a very excellent blade. People of this realm wouldn't even be able to identify its properties."
