The Messenger of Death

Chapter 8: bloodline 2

The whole cave was filled with silence after Alex's rude remark.

"Alex, can I call you Alex?" Grace politely asked.

"You already did." Alex snapped back.

"We are very sorry about all this but even if we wanted to send you back, we can't." Grace felt really guilty after saying that out loud.

"What!? Why can't you send me back!?" He didn't believe that they couldn't send him back.

"Alex I know that you have no reason to trust us, but it's the truth we can't send you back. Bringing you here had already taken almost every ounce of life we had left. It's not an easy feat to break through the barrier between one galaxy and another. If it wasn't for Grace's artifact we might have not succeeded. Her clan's Artifact has the ability to guide you to what you want. As far as it exists." Granoss said.

"We were searching for a human with the most potential. A human that wouldn't bring an ounce of shame to our blood. We didn't expect that the human that could do that would exist in another Galaxy." Granoss added.

"Then, since the artifact can get me to what I'm looking for using it to find a way back home for me." Alex was getting depressed at the moment.

'If they really didn't want to send me back home, they wouldn't have told me that the artifact could get me back.' He thought.

"It's not as easy as you think. To bring you here three late-stage Immortal Realm cultivators expended a lot of energy. If they could replenish their energy then there would have been hope to send you back." Grace explained.

"They can't be the only Immortal Realm cultivators in this Galaxy, are they?" Alex was trying to search for a solution.

"No, they're not. There are others, but they're not as common as you think. From the Celestial Plain Realm to this lower plain realm, there are only a handful of immortal realm cultivators. There are more outside of this galaxy, but even if they cross over to this galaxy they prefer to stay hidden. All immortal Realm cultivators want to break into the Minor God Realm. They would rarely concern their selves with the worldly affairs." Grace explained further.

"Besides, you can't trust other immortals in this Galaxy, we don't know how many of them are on the same side with our 4th brother," Daemon said.

"The only Immortal Realm cultivator that could be trusted is the king of the Humans in the Celestial Plain. He wouldn't move because we request that he does. And he wouldn't want to offend the Silver Fox clan and our brother, by helping us."

Alex frowned his face and turned his gaze to look at Grace.

"Then why is Grace helping you guys?"

"That's because our clan is about to enter a civil war. An uncle of mine is trying to overthrow the current leader of our clan, my niece. Her parents, my elder brother, and his wife were late-stage immortal realm cultivators. They broke through to the Minor God Realm together and they became Transcendent. Once you've broken through, the universe would forcefully drag you out of the Plain you're in and take you to a higher plain." Grace answered.

"Her parents asked me to protect their child, as I was one of the strongest Emperor Realm cultivators in the Clan. Unexpectedly that uncle of mine broke through to the early stage Immortal Realm. He then became an accomplice of their 4th brother. They tried to carry out a coup. Luckily they weren't successful, I went and searched around for the Dragnel brothers to seek refuge with them, and coincidentally they were searching for me to ask for a favor." She explained.

"You are the favor that we asked for and also the refuge she's seeking," Granoss said.

"Then how do I go back, I still have something I must do." Alex clenched his fist hard.

"The safest way will be for you to get stronger in this world. With our bloodline powers, this time you can be strong enough to fulfill the promises you made with the woman you loved, with pride. You can be strong enough to protect whoever you want." Granoss said with confidence. He was trying to fill Alex with hope so that he would accept their bloodlines.

Alex closed his eyes and took in deep breaths.

"How long will it take for me to become an Immortal Realm cultivator?" Alex asked with his eyes closed.

"For average people, if they have started cultivation from a young age with a fair amount of resources, then at your age they would be around the fifth-rank of the Origin Realm. Talented people at your age will be from the ninth-rank Origin Realm to mid-stage Nascent realm cultivators. A cultivation genius, well you don't need me to emphasize on that, do you?" Grace said.

Alex clicked his tongue and opened his eyes. He was wondering how he could catch up.

'Even the average talents are way ahead of me. There are nine ranks in every realm. Will I be able to catch up? No that shouldn't be my concern, my only aim is to get stronger now, as fast as I can.' Alex thought to himself.

"Luckily for you, if you accept our blood and merge with it, you can immediately shoot up to a mid-stage Nirvana Realm cultivator," Voss said proudly.

"Okay. I'll accept your mens…. I mean your bloodlines."

"Really? You wouldn't regret this choice, Alex. Granoss is a sword master, Voss is a master alchemist, and Daemon's power is a rare one. He is also a runemaster. Their knowledge will also be passed down to you."

"You giggle a lot for an old lady. And what are you going to pass on to me? Beauty?" Alex playfully asked.

"I'm not that old, I'm just a little bit over 7,000 years, I was just messing with you when I said that I was over 100,000 years… And yes, I'm going to Pass a beauty to you, you're to protect her. The beauty is my niece."

"Not that old!? You say it like being a bit over 7,000 years is still young. Your niece, does that mean that I'll have to go the Celestial Plain?"

"No, you won't have to. At least not yet. At the moment she is stronger than you are, but her strength is still within the constraint of this Plain. I hope that you can accompany her as she gets stronger in this Plain, help her if you can. And she can protect you till you're strong enough to do so yourself."

"How strong is she? And how old is she?" Alex asked.

"She is a rank eight Nirvana realm cultivator and she's just 18 years old."

Grace smiled at Alex as he put a surprised face on.
