The Moon Thief

Chapter 19: Bloody Teeth

"You can help me with my experiments as well, right?" Albert asked.

"I will do my best." Heinald bowed his head slightly.

"Nice!" Albert put the letter in his hand on the table and began looking at Heinald with a solemn expression. "I assume you need more information about Hamra and Bloody Teeth."

"Yes, the more I know, the more advantageous I will be." Heinald nodded.

"Ranton will help you about this. He's been investigating and observing Bloody Teeth for a long time, but he's not going very far because he doesn't have a strong comrade. Maybe you can help him. Give him this note." Albert wrote something on a piece of paper and handed it to Heinald.

"Anya, come here!" Albert raised his voice slightly.

"What's your order, sir?" The apprentice girl came in and immediately asked.

"Take Heinald to Ranton." Albert ordered.

"Of course, sir!" Anya bowed her head.

Anya took Heinald to an inn called the Old Man's Cup, and when they entered they saw a maid cleaning the tables only.

"Where's Ranton?" Anya asked.

"In below." The maid answered with a bow of her head. As Heinald and Anya went down the stairs, they came to some kind of hall, ahead of them was a man studying a map at a crowded table.

"Anya?" There was a slight surprise in the man's face.

"Sir Ranton!" Anya bowed her head.

Ranton had a Level 1 Ainsar's energy waves.

"How can I help you?" Ranton gave a respect nod to Heinald, and it didn't take long for him to realize that he was also carrying a Level 1 Ainsar aura.

"Master Albert sent me. Here,he asked me to deliver this letter to you." Heinald handed the letter.

Ranton nodded after reading the letter.

"Are you really willing to help me? We will deal with a criminal organization after all..." Ranton exhaled loudly.

"I thought we were just going to observe?" Heinald's brows frowned slightly.

"It is! But we may need action plans depending on the situation. For example, if we are exposed and attacked while trying to get information about them..." Ranton folded the paper in his hand and laid it on the table.

"If so, you must solve the problem as quickly as possible." Heinald nodded, a solemn expression on his face.

Ranton is also nodded.

"Alright, I'll tell you the basic things I know. The man we call Hamra is a thief in the simplest terms. He has only one goal and he is to seize valuable resources through various attacks."

"Well, if he angered so many people, why isn't he caught?" Heinald asked.

"Because it never reveals itself." Ranton's expression darkened.

"How so?" Heinald frowned slightly.

"I've been dealing with this man and his organization for about five years and I haven't seen him once.He usually gets his servants done .That's why, nobody wanted to join me and participate in my investigations because they thought it would be a waste of effort."

"Do they know anything about you?" Heinald asked.

"No.I have always tried to collect information from a safe distance, so I could not collect any useful information." Randon shook his head.

"How many members does Bloody Teeth have?" Heinald, sat on one of the empty chairs.

"I don't know anything for sure, but I assume they're not too crowded. However, its members are not careless and there are some really strong ones among them." Ranton took a notebook out of his desk drawer and handed it to Heinald.

"What is this?" Heinald took the notebook.

"This is a notebook with a list of the robberies and attacks he has done so far. Check it out, I want to hear your guess."

Heinald was shocked when he examined the list of robberies in the notebook, it was truly inconceivable that he was involved in so many robberies and was still not caught, and he managed to do so against powerful people and institutions. He immediately memorized the entire list, which he would examine in detail later.

"I can't give an exact estimate either, but my guess is that they must be over a thousand." Heinald thoughtfully returned the notebook.

"Let me tell you something even more interesting then. The members of the Bloody Theeth organization are not just humans." Ranton smiled bitterly.

"What do you mean?" Heinald's brows frowned slightly.

"There are Magical Creatures, too." Ranton had a solemn expression.

"What!?" Heinald's eyes widened.

"Hamra must have some magic or method that controls Magical Creatures." Ranton sighed.

"Very dangerous! Little is known about this man and his organization. It seems best that I would observe them from as far away as possible." Heinald thought, but he doubted he could obtain information or intelligence by observing it from a distance. The man called Hamra left no trace behind him.

"What is the power level of the creatures?" Heinald asked.

"There are 10 creatures in total, all of Level 1 Ainsar power." Ranton looked at Heinald. "We have tough enemies.

Heinald left Ranton with a solemn expression, trying to think of something but could not think of a plan. Bloody Teeth was a very dangerous organization and they had many secrets.

"Do you know where I can rent a house?" Heinald asked Anya who stands next to him.

"Yes sir. I can take you there if you want." Anya nodded.

"Lets go!"

Heinald rented a comfortable and secure home for 5 Arkana Stones per month. The house was guarded by powerful Trap Formations. After Heinald took care of his work, he returned to Albert.Albert was known to be a good potion master, and Heinald could really learn a few things from him. He would help him with his experiments in the future.

Heinald's top priority was to become stronger. He would first learn the Middle Rank Spells that his grandfather gave him. Now he was Level 1 Ainsar, his Magic Power was greatly increased, and every spell he cast would be much more effective than before.

Heinald began to spend his days intensely, helping Albert in various experiments and learning some tricks and nuances about potion making. Another was to learn the Middle Rank Spells that his grandfather had inherited him.

The first spell he tried to learn was called Frost Wave. This spell strewed frost waves around, freezing everything near it.As with any spell, the effect time and damage inflicted varied depending on the opponent's strength. The closer you were to the Frost Wave, the more affected you were.

"Master Albert, I have a question that I want to ask." When Heinald caught Albert in an empty moment, he wanted to ask a question he had long had in mind.

"Let me hear!"

"Where can I find a Magical Treasure?" Heinald asked.

"Magical Treasure?" Albert had a confused expression on his face.

"Yes."

"I don't think you can find Magical Treasures by looking for it." Albert scratched his chin.

"Why is that?" Heinald asked.

"You're probably looking for a life-saving type of Magical Treasure, right?" Albert smiled.

"Yes,although my job is only to observe and obtain information from a distance, there are still some risks." Heinald smiled bitterly.

"Do you see this bracelet? This bracelet is a Magical Treasure, it allows me to store things. You can find Magical Treasures like this with enough Arkana Stones. However, Magical Treasures of the kind you are looking for are not sold." Albert pointed to his bracelet. It was a Magical Treasure with the same kind of feature as Heinald's robe.

"Why not sold? They can make quite a fortune to the seller." Heinald spoke after a short silence.

"Life-saving type Magical Treasures are very few in number. So everyone wants it for themselves. And even if they were sold they would be immediately bought by great Ainsar families or organizations." Albert shrugged.

"So is there any place where I can find spell?" Heinald asked.

"Which Rank?" Albert asked.

"Middle."

"I know of a shop where you can find some Low Rank Spells, but most likely there is no store where you can find a Middle Rank. I can give you a Middle Rank Spell for a reasonable amount." Albert scratched his chin.

"Oh? Really?" Heinald's eyes sparkled.

Albert showed Heinald a small portion of the contents of a spell book called 'Lightning Spear'. This spell was a Lightning element-based Area Spell. A formed three-headed lightning spear would fly quickly towards the targeted area or person. It would explode where it struck first, causing a powerful lightning explosion. Even if the target or targets inside the explosion area did not die, they were stunned for a while.

After a long bargain, Heinald purchased a copy of the Spell for 5,000 Arkana Stones. Medium Rank Spells were quite expensive, but powerful and useful. Heinald had many potential enemies, and the more Spells he learned, the more advantageous he would be.

Heinald then went to Ranton's place to ask about new developments. When he went downstairs, he saw him peering thoughtfully at a piece of paper.

"Heinald, come and check this out!" He handed the paper to Heinald.

"Auction?" Heinald began to examine the paper. Lettel Trade Company was planning an auction.

"Yes! This may be an opportunity for us!" Ranton was very enthusiastic.

"Well...Its 6 months later..." Heinald shrugged. "You think some members of Bloody Teeth might be in Auction?" After thinking for a moment, he made a guess about Ranton's thinking.
