Chapter 32

Chapter 32 - Senior Brother Ye

The clash between the two titans of the industry drew scores of professional gamers to witness the showdown.

Crowding around a massive screen, these pros were engrossed in the unfolding match.

Ye Hao's maneuver seemed tantamount to a death wish.

With a sniper surely in the enemy's ranks, a headlong charge spelled certain doom.

Yet, as Ye Hao emerged within the enemy stronghold, the trio from Nine-Headed Snake were utterly dumbfounded.

In their moment of shock, three sharp gunshots pierced the air. The three adversaries from Nine-Headed Snake toppled before the astonished onlookers.

“Is this guy lightning-fast or what?”

“He fired off three bullets almost in the blink of an eye.”

“I had him pegged as a fool just moments ago.”

“Charging the enemy base? He's got to have something up his sleeve.”

Having dispatched the three Nine-Headed Snake members, Ye Hao began to weave around the room.

As he neared a corner, a sniper lying in wait took a shot in a flash.

Ye Hao tapped into his time-slowing ability once more.

In that crucial instant, he spotted the sniper, dodged the bullet with ease, and returned fire.

Their movements were so swift, the crowd believed they had fired simultaneously.

“It was a fluke,” the Nine-Headed Snake captain stated, his voice a deep rumble.

“The enemy played on our expectations.”

“But such a tactic is a one-time gambit.”

“He won't find such an opening in the next round.”

The Nine-Headed Snake captain saw his team's confidence swiftly restored and gave a subtle nod.

“Don't forget the bombs,” he reminded them, his gaze returning to the screen with a weighty intensity.

As the second round commenced, Ye Hao charged the enemy base just as he had before.

It seemed a reckless gambit, yet no one could now doubt his intent.

Typically, infiltrating an enemy base meant a cautious advance, hugging the walls. But Ye Hao? He made a beeline for the heart of the stronghold.

“Doesn't he fear being taken out?” pondered the pros. But as the thought crossed their minds, two shots rang out. With that, two more Nine-Headed Snake members hit the floor.

The next moment, two bombs arced through the air, plummeting towards Ye Hao's position.

It was undeniable that professional gamers were incredibly skilled.

They quickly pinpointed Ye Hao's location from the trajectory of the bullets.

With determination, Ye Hao darted to the side.

The bombs detonated a short distance away, slashing Ye Hao's HP by 60%.

“I need to stay sharp,” Ye Hao thought, and promptly fired two shots upward.

The enemy had located Ye Hao by the bullets, but he had likewise deduced their position from the bombs.

Naturally, Ye Hao shifted his position, his reflexes lightning-fast.

As the two team members fell, a wave of gasps swept through the crowd.

“This guy is a true master.”

“He single-handedly took down four top hundred-ranked pros. He's got to be top ten material.”

“The top ten are crammed with talent.”

“Did the Vermillion Bird Team really recruit a master to join them?”

“Looks like the Vermillion Bird Team is on track to be the strongest out there.”

The captain of the Nine-Headed Snake Team regarded Ye Hao with a dark scowl. “Who are you?”

“Is that any of your business?” Ye Hao shot back a glance, “Are we still going to compete or what?”

But all the pros in the arena realized the futility of continuing the match.

It was nothing short of a slaughter.

Regardless of how the Nine-Headed Snake Team's four members coordinated, Ye Hao dispatched them with ease.

By the final rounds, Death God and the others had lost all interest in picking up the weapons scattered on the ground.

Picking up guns was pointless when Ye Hao dominated the field.

They didn't have to lift a finger.

The match ended with a score of 13:0, leaving the Nine-Headed Snake Team staring at the scoreboard, their faces the picture of dejection.

“We'll pick this up tomorrow,” Ning Xuan said, beaming.

“There's no need,” the captain of the Nine-Headed Snake Team responded, shaking his head. “We concede this match.”

They knew they were beaten, no matter how many rematches they tried.

“May I have the honor of knowing your name?” asked the captain of the Nine-Headed Snake Team, looking at Ye Hao with a mix of awe and respect.

That's the way of the people from J Country.

They hold the powerful in high esteem, yet they're quick to oppress the weak.

During the reign of the Tang Dynasty, people from J Country paid annual tributes, aiming to forge a strong relationship with the empire.

“I'm Ye Hao.”

“Senior Brother Ye, it's a pleasure to meet you,” said the captain of the Nine-Headed Snake Team, bowing deeply to Ye Hao with great respect.

It was undeniable that Mu Ye's demeanor was exceedingly humble at that moment. Such humility could even soothe the hard feelings of onlookers.

“Senior Brother Ye, may I learn the art of micro-control from you?” Mu Ye asked, his eyes filled with hope.

Ye Hao let out a soft sigh.

That was typical of people from J Country.

Mu Ye had once thought highly of himself, exuding arrogance. But once he realized the gap between his abilities and Ye Hao's, he was quick to shed his pride and seek instruction from Ye Hao.

There was a reason J Country had endured for so many years.

Yet, no matter how submissive Mu Ye appeared, Ye Hao had no intention of teaching him.

Even if Ye Hao were willing to instruct others, Mu Ye would not be among them.

He believed that the people from J Country were fundamentally contemptible.

Moreover, Ye Hao harbored a narrow view of nationalism, convinced that interactions between nations were purely transactional.

Many experts advocated for friendly engagement between people from C Country and those from other nations.

Ye Hao had always challenged this perspective, despite its prevalence.

In the early years of the nation, C Country had provided aid to many countries, only to be betrayed when those nations prioritized their interests.

“No,” Ye Hao declined flatly.

“Why?” Mu Ye was taken aback.

He had assumed that people from C Country, being fond of flattery, would readily share their secrets with someone who showed humility.

“Because I don't like you,” Ye Hao stated emphatically.

A dark cloud crossed Mu Ye's face.

Still, he fixed his gaze on Ye Hao and said earnestly, “Your viewpoint is too narrow-minded.”

“You talk too much,” Ye Hao retorted before turning on his heel and walking away.

Mu Ye stood there, unsure of how to react.

Ye Hao was playing by his own set of rules!

“Ye Hao, what is this behavior?” Huang Shouren asked with a hint of anger. “Where is your decorum in front of our international friends?”

“You appear to have forgotten that the people from J Country massacred 35 million from C Country,” Taishi Xiu stated without mincing words. “You're nothing but a traitor.”
