VRMMORPG: Dragomancer Reborn

Chapter 25 Quest Rewards

Hearing the words of the village head, Arthur was pleased. Thing had went just as he had wanted them to go.

"It was merely my duty, Village Head Eneba." Arthur spoke.

"No… I doubt it would be like this at all. You adventurers have just arrived and it hasn't been that long for you people to get adapted to this place. And yet, you have gone above and beyond in helping a place that isn't even your home." The Village Head said with a hint of emotion.

>Player Arzhur has obtained a title!<

——

[Title: Dedicated Kestrel Village Adventurer]

Info: Being the first player to have completed a main village quest, your reputation with Kestrel village will improve.

Effect: Reputation will rise to 'Favored' in Kestrel Village.

——

'Just as planned.' This was merely one of the rewards that Arthur was going to get from this quest.

There were many titles that one could obtain in Morpheus Online and some of them could affect the reputation of a person. This reputation could be limited to specific areas or even entire kingdoms.

In the current case of Arthur, he had obtained a village specific title.

The reputation of a player determined how the people of a village would behave with them. There were seven levels for reputation that determined how the people of a location would behave with them.

They ranged from Vilified, Hated, Disliked, Neutral, Friendly, Favored, Venerated in an ascending order. Neutral was where all players started off as and their actions would determine how their reputation would change.

For example, if a player did quests for the village, their reputation would eventually rise to Friendly. Failing a quest wouldn't necessarily lower their reputation but intentionally harming the village or those helping it would do that.

If the reputation went low enough, the players would be actively hunted by the Village guards and would be killed on sight.

'This reminds me… it wouldn't be long until we get the first Vilified Player in the game.' Arthur was reminded of another memory.

It was something he could make use of and would even net him a little money at the same time. He made a mental note of it and decided to address it when he was back in the real world.

"Since you've helped us, I believe a reward is in order." The Village head said the thing that Arthur had been waiting for.

"Thank you Village head, they will." Arthur took the two items, while gazing at the token in particular.

>Inspect Successful!<

——

Name: Kestrel Village Token of Appreciation

[Wisdom: 1] [Will: 1]

[Equipping Requirement: No Level restrictions, No class restrictions]

——

'This'll help with the Will requirement I have.' Arthur was pleased with the reward.

The Kestrel Village Token of Appreciation was one of the first accessory type equipment that the players could obtain if they reached the favored reputation. It raised the Will and Wisdom Stats by 1 each and was something that the magic users would usually prefer.

But this early one, any equipment could be considered good. Especially since Arthur had a need for the Will Stat too.

He quickly equipped it, clipping the token to his waist.

One could technically equip the token style accessories anywhere on their body, and most users clipped them to their chest. But Arthur didn't want to bring extra attention by doing that so early on.

Thus he clipped it to his waist, where it wasn't as noticeable. The token was dark brown in color anyway and was masked by the color of his pants, making it hard to notice directly.

'After the Grey Plains Rabbit Hunting. I've already gotten some attention from players. Don't want to be mobbed by them after they notice the token either.' Arthur thought to himself.

The monetary reward from the village head was going to be good enough for him to buy some equipment for himself too. He wasn't worried about needing to hide the equipment though as it was something anyone could buy as long as they had the coins unlike the token which had specific requirements to obtain.

Plus, Arthur had technically gotten more rewards than what the Village Head had given him. He also had the Black Tear Short Sword, the monster core, the pelt as well as the claws of the boss with him.

In fact, the value of these items was more than the reward that the village head had offered. But Arthur didn't mind that at all, as his aim was the long term gains.

"Adventurer, may I know your name?" The Village head asked, making Arthur focus on him.

"My name is Arzhur, Village Head Eneba." Arthur stated.

"I shall remember that." The Village Head nodded before turning to his desk. "Can you please wait a minute?" he asked.

"Sure," Arthur said with a bit of excitement as he knew what was going to happen.

The Village head took out a sheet of paper and quickly wrote a letter before handing it to Arthur.

"As a dedicated adventurer of our village, can I trouble you to bring this letter to our resident Mage?" The Village head asked.

>Quest Issued!<
