When I Saw The Returns, I Invested In My Future Wife First

Chapter 10

You Have To Obey Me, Go And Buy Clothes!

“Let’s begin!” Ai Tingya said confidently.

She was considered an older child at the orphanage, so she had to take care of other children. The sporadic learning time forced her to memorize words quickly.

Half an hour was more than enough time for her.

“Don’t cry if you lose.” Luo Feng smiled.

He called Mother Luo over and asked her to help read out the Chinese words.

As for Ai Tingya and him, one was leaning against the bed, and the other was leaning against the table, writing down the corresponding English word that they had memorized.

Ai Ting Ya checked her work from the beginning to the end with satisfaction finished after writing the words for the target unit. However, Mother Luo continued to read the Chinese words. Luo Feng listened to every word and wrote down the corresponding English word without any intention of stopping behind her.

What’s going on? Luo Feng even memorized the next unit?

Ai Tingya looked at the mother and son in shock. Mother Luo didn’t know where the end point was, so she continued to read until Luo Feng stretched. “I’m tired, let’s stop here”

The light voice gave Ai Tingya a heavy blow!

She rushed over and snatched Luo Feng’s notebook that had words neatly arranged on it.

It was all correct, word for word!

“The competition is over.” Luo Feng stood up with his hands on his waist. “Classmate Ai Tingya, I won.”

“Heh.” Ai Tingya laughed. “I admit defeat. What do you want me to do?”

Mother Luo’s interest was piqued when she heard that the two children had made a bet. She leaned to the side with her arms crossed as if she was watching a show.

Luo Feng scanned Ai Tingya from head to toe and said, “I’ll bring you to buy some clothes.”

After saying that, he bent down and took out his bank card. He avoided Mother Luo’s gaze as he put it in his pocket.

“But!” Ai Tingya rejected out of habit.

Luo Feng covered her mouth and said. “I won, remember?”

She definitely could not refuse since she had said that she accepted her loss. Ai Tingya blinked and nodded in resignation.

The corners of Mother Luo’s mouth almost reached the back of her ears. She thought to herself that her son was really promising. The numerous idol dramas she got him to watch at eight o’clock were not in vain. One did have to have some tricks up one’s sleeve to coax a girl so that she would go out with him willingly.

“Xiao Feng, bring Tingya around more. Eat something good for lunch.” Mother Luo pushed the two of them out and sent them out with a smile.

She also secretly stuffed two bills into Luo Feng’s hands.

Crown City Commercial Street.

There were not many shopping malls in the city more than 10 years ago so shopping was mainly on the commercial streets.

There was a dazzling array of shops on both sides. New clothes were hung in the most eye-catching position. Luo Feng picked and chose and finally found a shop that was more suitable for students.

The shop assistant ignored them. She subconsciously felt that these two students’ spending power was limited when they entered.

Luo Feng’s hand brushed past the side of the clothes on the racks and finally grabbed onto a blue sweater. The soft fur felt very nice on the skin. He took the sweater and threw it to Ai Tingya. “This looks good, go try it on.”

Ai Tingya had almost never shopped since she was either studying or taking care of the children during her spare time. Her clothes were all leftovers from the older children. Clothes that she outgrew would be left for children younger than her.

New clothes were practically a luxury.

Therefore, she held the warm sweater in her hand and stammered. “It seems a little big.”

Luo Feng tilted his head and said to the shop assistant. “Help me get a smaller sized one.”

The shop assistant walked over slowly and casually glanced at the model. Then, she calmly went to the warehouse at the back to find a smaller one.

She deduced that the pair was probably an older brother in the city who had brought his younger sister from the countryside to buy clothes. She felt that they would not be able to spend much by their average dressing and the girl’s careful attitude so she was not very enthusiastic.

“Don’t dirty it.” The shop assistant was rudely reminded.

Ai Tingya felt even more uncomfortable. She held onto Luo Feng’s clothes tightly, not daring to raise her head.

Luo Feng glared at the shop assistant, grabbed the sweater, and put it around Ai Tingya’s neck. He held her face and forced her to lift it up. “Go and try. We can afford it no matter how expensive it is!”

He glared at the shop assistant again after saying that.

The shop assistant trembled and felt a chill run down her spine. The teenager in front of her actually had such a cold gaze.

Only then did she remember that she was in business and needed to make money by being amiable. She smiled and said to Ai Tingya, “Young lady, your elder brother has good taste. You’re fair and most suitable to wear blue. Go and try it on.”

Ai Tingya hugged her sweater and said, “He’s not my elder brother.”

She entered the fitting room after saying that.

The shop assistant was stunned. If they weren’t siblings, then they were definitely a couple.

Young people these days are really interesting. This young man is quite handsome. Why did he bring this country bumpkin with him? What is he plotting? She doesn’t look very rich either

. She clicked her tongue in her heart and thought to herself.

Squeak!

The door of the fitting room was pushed open, and Ai Tingya emerged with the sweater on.

“Nice!” Luo Feng praised. He walked to her side and combed her long hair that covered her face.

The shop assistant had only planned to say some pleasantries to sell the clothes. She was suddenly stunned when she saw Ai Tingya’s appearance.

“So beautiful!” The shop assistant praised from the bottom of her heart.

Ai Tingya’s skin was fair and tender. She had big eyes, a small nose, and her thin lips were reddened from her bite. No amount of high-grade lipstick would be able to match that natural redness. She was tall and slender and would look good even if she was wrapped in a fertilizer bag with her head held high.

The shop assistant immediately became enthusiastic. She took out a few clothes and stuffed them into Ai Tingya’s hand as if she was sweeping the goods for purchase. “These are the explosively popular clothes from this year. Young lady, you’ll definitely look good in them!”

Then, she pushed Ai Tingya back to the fitting room without any explanation.

...

The passersby were also attracted by the commotion and stopped to watch.

They saw Ai Tingya coming out of the fitting room as she tried on the clothes.

“Wow! It’s really beautiful! Boss, give me the same set as the young lady!”

“This one is not bad either. My daughter will look good in it!”

“Where did the boss find this pretty model? She has good taste. She looks good in anything!”

The atmosphere in the shop became lively. Ai Tingya changed her clothes obediently, and the staff happily found the same clothes for other customers.

Luo Feng suddenly became an outsider. He stood at the side and watched as the shop assistant ushered people in and went around. He counted the money his mother gave him when he left home since he was bored. It was enough to buy Ai Tingya a few sets of clothes if he also considered the 600 yuan in his card.

Ai Tingya got tired of changing and walked to Luo Feng’s side to rest after a while.

Luo Feng pointed at the pile of clothes in the fitting room and said. “Is there anything you like in there? Pick a few.”

Ai Tingya touched the pink dress on her body and thought for a moment before saying. “I’ll take that blue sweater.”

Actually, she liked the clothes the shop assistant gave her very much. They were all nice but the blue sweater was the only one chosen by Luo Feng, and that alone was enough for her.

...

“Just one? All these clothes look good on you.” Luo Feng asked, puzzled.

“This one is enough!” Ai Tingya insisted.
